This list is being attributed to Fibonacci, but I can’t confirm that it’s his list. Both TidesofTime and Gaara played it and labeled it as Fibonacci, and this Redditor came to the same deck list.

If you’ve never heard of Fibonacci, he’s widely regarded as the best Control Warrior player on the ladder. He’s finished 1st on the legend ladder multiple times, and may have finished Season 21 in the first spot (official results have yet to be posted). He doesn’t stream, but has played in the BlizzCon Qualifiers.

There’s a lot of cards here that are standard Control Warrior, but Tournament Medic and Deathwing definitely make this deck unique.

This deck is pretty good, but it makes no sense having Deathwing when it’s the only BGH target. When using Grom as a board control minion, the opponent can usually deal with it in hand (without BGH) or on board if you can’t fully clear, giving them the freedom to BGH Deathwing.

I believe it was justsayain who said on his stream that the entire point of this list, according to fibonacci, was to combat the huge amount of zoo he was facing in the final days of the december season. This is not a normal, ladder list; it was designed specifically to counteract what he was facing in the race to the top spot.

Grommash is used for removal / bgh target in this deck, rarely as a finisher. Medic is amazing against aggro, and deathwing, if you can survive till turn 10, is your hail mary – one which aggro decks almost certainly can not remove at that point in the game.

Any suggestions as to what to replace Harrison? Thinking ooze is too low value?

I don’t really understand how to play deathwing here. The only other BGH target is enraged gromm, so are you supposed to wait until they’re completely out of cards / have played it? I don’t know how to not get blown out after dropping him.

Can someone explain the addition of death wing and purpose? I’m failing to see what decks are prone to death wing or in other words why in this meta? Just wondering. Thanks in advance

I got the point of cards such as Deathwing and Baron Geddon in the current meta game. But Tournament Medic seems such a weak card. Cutting cards as Alexstrasza, Cruel Taskmaster, 2nd Acolyte of Pain,2nd Sludge Belcher… doesn’t seem that strong.
Oh, I actualy like the Harrison Jones, what brought it back to CW, the Aggro shaman?

This is more Fatigue than Control. The midgame is lack luster and there’s insufficient card draw.

I wouldn’t really advocate a change. If it was optimal, the original person would’ve had it in his deck. Alexstasza has a more immediate impact and can be paralleled to Deathwing in that sense. Ysera is all about value generation.
