I generally try to make the evolve combo if I do not see Denathrius. You can also try to scam people with School Teacher + Brann/Bolnar combos. Again, keep Sylvanas against hunters.
Hi guys, Maleficivm here.
After loooong testing and refining, I came to the conclusion that
– Shaman kinda sucks in this meta.
Besides that, I came to several other conclusions too:
1. The Murloc package sucks – the only good murlocs are the two small legendaries. Eating 1/1s with Mutanus and the parrot is not going to win you any games…
2. Famished Fool – there is something wrong with this card. It looks good on paper, but every time I play it, it kinda feels … bad. So I cut it from the deck. I put a 5/6 with taunt in its place, and THAT feels good when you play it. You can cut the Azsharan Sentinel for a Theotar or something else if you like, but I like the tempo.
3. Evolve Package – I do not like the location. The gnoll just sucks. It feels like you are giving up so much to make an 8/8 … and then it just dies. The only decent evolve combo is Convincing Disguise with Tiny Toys. That has won me quite a lot of games.
4. What the hell is this Sunwell Initiate – you kidding me? This card is ridiculous tempo. Just try it!
The best part of this deck is the tempo. You can just beat up people with it sometimes, no combos, no Denathrius needed. It is almost as if you are playing the Hearthstone of old. Then you queue into a Demon Hunter that draws 4 cards for -18 mana and you are back to reality 😀
