Mulligans

General Mulligans

The power of our 2-drops is that you combine them with your Hero Power and buffs. Against Rogue or Paladin I'd keep Consecration or Truesilver Champion . For the rest, you can choose to keep The Glass Knight against Druid and Warrior if you get The Coin, or Priest, as they might use more than one card to kill him and lose some tempo, or even a Corpsetaker if you suspect you'll have a hard time surviving, but that's all.

This deck is pretty straightforward in mulligans.

Call to Arms was great in the deck. It has certainly fallen in power but is still fun to play.

The power to buff small minions for favorable trades makes this a very versatile deck, giving the opportunity to negate aggro decks or race against the big combo decks. Though you can aswell fail in both, as this is not a Top Tier deck.

Anyway it performs surprisingly well even chosing some “trash tier” choices as Glowstone Technician or Sunwalker , getting me some good winstreaks from Rank15 to 7. I know this is no much, but I neither play a lot.

This is my version, with lot of Legendaries and my personal taste, but a lot of cards can be replaced to any more aggressive or cheaper choices. Avenging Wrath , second Spikeridged Steed or Spellbreaker , Dark Conviction if you have no Tarim , Defender of Argus for more trading power… The card I’d never cut is Corpsetaker and its synergies, they’re just too strong.

I’ve thought about putting in one or two Dire Wolf Alpha but the deck is already fine to me, in any case I’d switch it for Crystalsmith Kangor , but he alongside my 1 mana dudes win lots aggro matchups. Crystology is another card to look at, but sometimes it just sat in my hand as I was buffing and fighting for board, so I cut it.

The gameplan is simple, fight for board and Hero Power every possible turn, as this will give you good opportunities to lay on buffs, specially Sound the Bells! , which you can divide into your dudes.

A well timed and buffed Vicious Scalehide or Corpsetaker can make an aggro opponent to just concede. If the game goes further, start putting some pressure with your weapons and The Glass Knight , use wisely your anti-control tools, as Equality , Spellbreaker and Sunkeeper Tarim and try to finish before your opponent with a well placed buff, a buffed Silver Sword board, or more pressure than they can handle playing two or three cheap +2/+2 minions upgraded with Glowstone Technician . Maybe a slow and “meh” choice, but I’m just trying it.

I cut The Lich King to try out Glowstone Technician , because the second is cheaper and gives an actual buff to your hand… but all in all I think our favourite Death Knight could be better all in all.

Hope you guys like it and remember, as this deck may seem expensive, as long as you keep buffs and the Corpsetaker package, you can make it cheaper… or more expensive with more Top Tier or aggressive cards!.
