A midrange deck that aims to play elementals from turns 3-6, using Blazecallers to finish your opponent off.
NOTABLE EXCLUSIONS:
Tol’Vir Stoneshaper: These mess with your elemental chain way too much.
Igneous Elemental: I originally ran 2 of these but they turned out being too slow and I didn’t really need the extra activators.
Pyros: Pyros is definitely a possible inclusion in the deck. However, she’s only really good when you run out of steam, and for that reason I didn’t include her.
Firelands Portal: Blazecaller is just a better Firelands Portal most of the time. You could replace 1 Flame Geyser with 1 Firelands Portal, but I wouldn’t recommend running 2.
Hey. I like the list, and I agree entirely on the igneous elemental, it really just isn’t impactful enough. Can I ask how it’s been for you so far? The deck is similar to a previous incarnation I tried and I found it really dependent on the cards coming out in the right order.
It certainly isn’t as good as the meta mage decks (eg. secret mage). I agree with you, it is very draw dependent. There are several turns where you really need to ensure the elemental chain is activated, or certain cards are pretty dead.
I personally haven’t had much success with the deck, but I haven’t played with it much. This is a list I was just toying around with at around Rank 13 and found to be very fun to play.
