Mulligans
General Mulligans
You always want Keleseth on your starting hand, no doubt on that. The hard you mulligan for it depends of your opponent.
You never want Face collector, Tess Greymane and Wyrmguards in your starting hand. Hallucination is also better latter in the game rather than as a 1 drop.
Aggro Mulligans
You want backstab, and Fire Fly; Keleseth if posibble, but you can always play hero power at 2 otherwise. Tanglefur is great as a 3 drop, and for turn 4 you want scaleworm or saronite. Always control the board.Midrange Mulligans
You can hard mulligan for keleseth in this one, but if you have Fire Fly in your oppening hand just keep it. Play at tempo. In this match you wil have to constantly consider if going for board or face.Combo Mulligans
You need to accelerate this match, push as much as you can but dont over extend your board. In this match you can play a 1-2 minions Tess Greymane if needed.Control Mulligans
Play this game by tempo, playing nothing at 1, and hero power at 2 is not that punishing in this match. Go face most of the time. This is a Tess Greymane rogue deck that ive been testing for a while; although it started as a very meme deck im sure it improved really well by cutting and replacing some cards. This deck is very midrange oriented as to play tempo, but close the game with value.
Tess Greymane is full value card, but depends on how many non rogue class card you have played a game. In this deck shell be oriente to resummon mainly minions, wich i thing works better than spells. I like to compare her power to Dragoncaller Alanna; once your opponent has cleared your board for the last time just playing by a 3-4 minions Tess can ensure you a win.
Dragons is a very solid archetype in this expansion by itself. Wyrmguard and mostly Scaleworm are very strong card played at tempo. Scaleworm rush mechanic proved to work really better than expected, they can always be sevasting to your opponent plans. Twilight Drake sinergies very well with the deck’s card generation and tempo playstile. Cobalt Scalebane was always a very strong minion, and was played previuosly in many rogue decks. Bone Drake is good by tempo, but even when you already played him it will give you a dragon to your hand to keep activating Scaleworm and Wyrmguard battlecries.
Tess Greymane Value Generation:
At this point, you may already know how Hallucination and Blink Fox work in a Tess Rogue deck, they can give you great resources, but careful with playing spells that can be self defeating when playing Tess (Never Play Psychic Scream ).
Tanglefur Mystic is a great minion by stats, and the 2 cost minion it gives to both players will mostly favor you, due to your 2 costs minion lack, wich can help you fill your 5 and 6 turns. Has a chance slightly lower than 1/2 of giving you a non rogue class-minion. (You actually have a very low chance of getting Pyros.
Shallow Gravedigger can be bad by stats in aggro matches so most of the time want to play it latter, there though some cases in which its 1 health is not that punishing. Has a 1/2 chance of giving you a non rogue class-minion, and a 1/3 chance of giving you an useful minion (counting only good non rogue class-minions, Bone Drake and Arfus ).
Bone Drake is good by stats and a dragon. Has a 1/4 chance of giving you a class dragon (non of them rogue), and some neutral dragons are also useful.
Face Collector is a card you mostly dont want to play until your hand is running out of useful cards.
You can also replace one Wyrmguard by The Lich King if you like how that card works with Tess.
The Lich King’s cards do not get repeated by Tess though, right?
They do, theyre considered death knight class cards even when its not a playable class. Ysera’s cards doesnt repeat though. You can google it if not sure.
Maybe yseras card is a bug
I don’t have face collector, any replacement? The impact is very bigg?
Its only good in control matches, so no fear in replacing it. Feel free to add another 1 cost to help curve or another late game card such as lich king to compensate its value.
