Hello! I’m random high legend (~300-100) player and deckbuilder, here is my Hand Warlock build attempt with new cards.
Dragon package for Nether Breath and Crazed Netherwing activation. Big Ol' Whelp and Cobalt Spellkin weak themselves, but follow hand Warlock gameplan. Zzeraku the Warped late bomb. Lord Jaraxxus for some late value, maybe it’s worth to cut him, who knows.
upd. I looked into previous hand warlock builds and decided to make more mid game oriented changes. Cut Lord Jaraxxus because he is weak and we have midgame gameplan. Cut x2 Big Ol' Whelp because it’s weak and 7 dragons is enough for synergy (although 7 is enough even for regular deck, I want to point out, that for hand warlock, which is constantly drawing and sitting at 10 cards, 7 dragons more than enough). Added Bloodmage Thalnos for draw and early spells synergy. Added Zilliax to make more heal possibilites. Flex spot is Barista Lynchen, we can add any card for meta (Harrison Jones if there will be many weapons, Siamat if we will need more board control). But in vacuum Barista is very good. All this Hand Warlock midrange cards turned out to have battlecries: Cobalt Spellkin Crazed Netherwing Abyssal Summoner Lord Godfrey so it would be cool to copy extra value or board clear. Another flex spot is x1 Depth Charge for whatewher meta calls.
upd. 2 – revaluated Big Ol' Whelp and Cobalt Spellkin, sticks to Big Ol' Whelp. Just because of better stats.
2x Big Ol' Whelp still on my watching list. If we want to make this deck to have a bit more late options, we can add 2x Crowd Roaster instead.
Meh, screw you Barista Lynchen, we don’t want value, we want to win. Assuming, we have usually huge board turn 6+ (Abyssal Summoner, free giant after Valdris Felgorge, etc) we need good finisher turn 9+. I guess, we also need some more late heal options against midrange decks. And it would be cool to provide more dragon synergy for consistent “hold dragon” cards activation. Oh, if only there were 1 card with all these 3 options…
upd. 3 Included Alexstrasza.
