Early game your goal is survival and getting the rewinds in your hand - your not wanting to Stargaze till turn 5 at the earliest. Don't be afraid to hard cast a Lightshow early though, and start stacking them in hand. I could see a turn 3 Lightshow, turn 4 Stargazing+Rewind to create 2 more Lightshows. (followed by Turn 4 Sivara, and just do it all again)
The general idea here is to use Dryscale Deputy/Stargazing/Rewind/Sivara/Rommath to create and cast as many copies of Lightshow as is possible.
I included the Excavate subtheme and of course the standard Mage Deck survival package. I could see an argument for replacing the Watcher of the Sun with Celestial Projectionist though for the first build I’m going to stick with safe over sorry.
We’ll see if the amount of removal that comes between excavate and lightshows gets the job done.
