Scratch my last comment, your deck is much better. After playing this deck for quite a while I just have two changes:
-1 Loot Hoarder
+1 Bloodmage Thalnos
It’s understandable if you don’t have Bloodmage, but he does the same thing but way better. I’d trade 1 attack for the spell damage easily as it really helps when using your Lightning.
-1 Hagatha
+1 Feral Spirits
This is just preference. The overload and early board presence helps the combo. Later in the game you should focus on Giants, it took away from the combos I feel as I had to dedicate a turn without overloads to play a non win condition. the Aoe from her can be helpful, but the added protection is honestly better and synergizes more to me. You already have better lower cost minions to play and amazing board clear ability. They should be answering to you and by the time they clear the threat you should have an easy clear anyways. I’ve also burnt needed cards a few times because of an unanswered Mana Tide and not being able to get rid of the spells from Hagatha. This is just personal preference though.
Your combo, for everyone that says this is a bad deck, should be turn 9, 0 cost Giant, play him, use ancestral spirit on him, and then with a fully upgraded Spellstone for 4 Giants that all resuming themselves. That’s your win condition combo.
To get to that I always hard mulligan into Spellstone, play defense and overload clears smartly (not overloading later turns unless necessary, if I overload 2 mana crystals, I try to hold on to a 3 overload until it’s upgraded so those overloaded crystals don’t go to waste, ect.)
Play early very defensively and use clears to clear all threats more aggressively without making it a waste (don’t use Crushing Hand on a weak minion, don’t Volcano on a small board ect. Common sense).
Key is to overload a lot and quickly WITH SPELLSTONE IN HAND. If it’s not in hand be more conservative until it’s in hand. Then later in the game starting turn 8 when you find at least 2/3 pieces be conservative with the overloads so if you draw the last piece (ie gaint or ancestral) ten you can play the wombo combo.
Ive got a similar deck. Just looking to see other versions. the one I got has feral wolves and stalls out until later turns and protect either lich king or ysera (the big dogs other than giant) and then by that time I also have my spellstone leveled. The heavy taunt said usually get the big removal out of the way and then you get 4 lich or ysera and from there it’s always concede. It’s not SUPER competitive but definitely the most fun deck I’ve ever played in hearthstone. When I get the time tomorrow I’ll plop my list down here for anyone who wants to try it out just for fun.
This deck seems got for playing some crazy cards your opponent will not expect.
this deck very bad amateur deck . just look kedavra overload friends from my deck . thıs deck really very bad
I think this deck is way better than yours. the sandbinder sounds nice to have since they dig for your wincondition. but digging directly for them is bad since they ll be a dead card in your hand as long as you ahven t discounted them enough. you want your controletools FIRST so far sight is a way better draw-engine. also stonehills offer no purpuse. what exactly are you hoping to get? more earth elementals? I can understand the beetles, but doomsayers are just to great to
a) place turn 2, atm nobody can clear a doomsayer turn2 reliantly to instantly double your winchances vs most aggrodecks.
b) drop after a huge boardclear which you have many in this deck.
I prefer Spirit Echo in these decks tbh.
Don’t even think to make this deck. Look at the Cards and ask yourself: How to stand against all kind of Pala’s?
The deck looks super fun to play ! I’m hesitating about crafting the Epics I miss though. Is it competitve on ladder ? Any hint at the winrate, and maybe good/poor match-ups ?
Thanks for the list anyway !
It isn’t competitive. I have a list very similar to this and it’s a really fun meme (more fun than I’ve had with Standard decks in a while) that can pull ridiculous wins out of nowhere, but isn’t much more than that. If you happen to have the cards and want to have a fun time with an underpowered mechanic, then this deck is for you. Otherwise, you’re better off investing your dust in more useful cards.
bad matchup that stupid op broken even warlock.. that deck will be most played once meta settles cuz it almost doesn’t lose i guess ima have to build myself a 2k18 control paladin FeelsGoodMan 🙂
Awesome deck i love it, opponents are like wtf im playing against!? super fun aswell good job <3
