Mulligans
Aggro Mulligans
Minions basically.
Combo Mulligans
We have Combo Decks still? If decks like Oil Rogue, Freeze Mage and Midrange Patron Warrior count as 'Combo' then mulligan same as Control.
Control Mulligans
Possibly keep Doomguard with Voidcaller vs Control. You can get double Doomguard hands which can be awkward though.
If you don't need to play Dark Peddler early, and have a 4-drop, don't. Getting a Demon for Voidcaller or a bigger Twilight Drake is preferable.
Greetings, Viewer!
This is my personal DemonHandlock deck which I tend to goof around with in Casual, and felt it worth sharing even though it’s probably abismal on ladder. DemonHandlock is one of my all-time favourite decks and it’s quite the shame it doesn’t even make Tier 4 these days (Midrange Shaman Level… FeelsBadMan).
Card Choices:
Mortal Coil (2) – Warlock struggles with dealing 1 Damage, this fixes that.
Darkbomb – Good early game removal of scary minions, burst and assistance for taking down later game, bigger minions.
Dark Peddler (2) – Ancient Watcher’s replacement. Synergises with Brann Bronzebeard and can actually attack and kill Knife Jugglers.
Ironbeak Owl – A cheap way to deal with annoying cards like Sylvanas Windrunner and Doomsayer.
Sunfury Protector (2) – The two taunt givers in the deck. Great for stopping Aggro in it’s tracks.
Big Game Hunter – Dr. Boom is a thing. Pew, Pew.
Brann Bronzebeard – Assists with multiple Dark Peddler goodies, massive Twilight Drakes and super Antique Healbots. Can also serve as a tempo drop and something to play when on Coin to avoid a full hand.
Hellfire (2) – Warlocks prime AoE spell. Does work against most decks and has a slight benefit of getting you closer to Molten Giants.
Shadowflame – A third AoE which synergises well with Voidcaller, Molten Giant, Sylvanas Windrunner and possible Dark Peddler goodies such as Power Overwhelming and Abusive Sergeant.
Twilight Drake (2) – This is a Handlock deck. Nuff said.
Voidcaller (2) – This is a variant of Handlock called DemonHandlock. Nuff said.
Antique Healbot (2) – Best heal in the game. Particularly fun with Brann Bronzebeard.
Doomguard (2) – Prime fuel for Voidcaller’s deathrattle. Good burst too.
Sludge Belcher (2) – Gives the deck an actual five drop which won’t suck for tempo or discard your hand. Nice taunt as well.
Emperor Thaurissan – A mana reducing six drop for a high end control deck which keeps a large hand. SeemsGood.
Sylvanas Windrunner – She’s great at forcing awkward plays when used correctly. A great card.
Dr. Boom – * Insert Pointless Description Here *
Lord Jaraxxus – Our anti-control card. If he’s in the deck vs Priest it’s practically an insta-win.
Mal’Ganis – Fuel for Voidcaller’s deathrattle. Awesome when he prevents a lethal.
Molten Giant (2) – The ol’ turn ten Molten, Molten, Sunfury, Brann, Healbot play. ‘I Greet You!’
Card Possibilities:
Mountain Giant – I find him too slow. Especially for DemonHandlock.
Dread Infernal – Go for it! Sub a Doomguard.
Defender of Argus – I ditched him for better five drops in Sludge Belcher.
2nd Darkbomb – Sub a Doomguard.
Siphon Soul – It’s clunky but give it a go.
Loatheb – Sure!
A Few Things to Watch Out For:
Voidcaller pulling Lord Jaraxxus vs Control is bad.
Tapping while at 10 cards. It happens.
