This is a sudden idea of mine, I’m not sure if this will work as I wanted it to be, or even work at all, but I suppose I can share it and get some comments. So I really like the card Augmented Elekk when it came out, and as you can see 5 cards in this deck can benefit from this minion (unless Deck of Wonders is exactly what that messed you up).
So let’s get started, my original idea of this deck is to maximize the benefits given by Augmented Elekk
So the first card that came to my mind is The Darkness . With the help from a Augmented Elekk you can shuffle 6 candles into the enemy’s deck for every The Darkness you play, and you can get more The Darkness in your hand by casting Simulacrum , giving you a maximum of 3 20/20 on your field and 18 candles in the enemy’s deck. Of course, that scenario is mostly impossible to occur, you can, however, keep these cards till late game and perhaps you’ll somehow make the combo work, although its unlikely, one darkness and 6 candles are most likely the best that you can get, but pared with the Research Project , I might just be enough to change the game (you might as well use the Molten Reflection on it if you really does manage to get it out)
The Deck of Wonders is the second card on the list that benefits a lot from the Elekk. The main reason I included this in the deck, is because the Scroll Of Wonders this card generates really pair well with Curio Collector , which is a core minion of this deck in the mid game, as the self casting card drawing effect can provide lots of stacks to the Curio Collector . However, Deck of Wonders CAN have some negative effects, like turning your Curio Collector into sheep, or slamming yourself with 3 Pyroblast in the face, which is of course not very good to happen…
This, again, is another card that benefits a lot from the Augmented Elekk . Shuffling 4 Bombs into the enemy’s deck with the help of an Elekk, that’s 20 potential damage there. With a Research Project , you can ramp out the damage in their face with a bit of luck, or make them think twice before playing a card that draws them cards, of course, this once again is an ideal situation which might not happen in a real game, but there’re always chances, if you have enough luck.
Last but not least, Astromancer . A minion not only not only with the capability to summon a a big minion with a big enough hand size, but also provides a 5/5 body by itself, which is gives this card even more value, with the amount of card draws in this deck, it should be easy to have 8~10 cards in hand by the time you’d want to play this minion.
Meteorologist might be a good idea too, but personally i think it’s a bit weak, providing only a 3/3 body, and randomly dealt damage might not be able to clear the enemy board either. This is why I chose blizzard instead of Meteorologist .
There are still a lot I can improve in this deck, please let me know hat you think about this deck either you think this is a good deck or not, thanks for your attention.
Interesting deck, astromancer could not work so well in this deck, considering that just have a draw card (scroll don’t help you to have a bigger hand), maybe daring reporter could work better than curior considering all the cards that are shuffling in the rival deck, but sadly this is only in wild :’v
Ups, I didn’t notice arcane intellect. Anyway, astrologist doesn’t seem that can’t work in a deck that aren’t really dedicated to have big hand
Hmmmm, you have a point, is there anyway i can do to improve this deck, within the standard parameters?
Well, I don’t have idea about how improve this type of decks, but I remember a video, “Infinite Aluneth”, in which he use a combo with baleful banker and Brand Bronzebeard (with this expansion could use Elekk instead of Brand) to shuffle more and more copies of cards in his deck. Maybe if check this video could give some ideas to improve your deck
