Deck of Lunacy is a maybe keep. Against aggro, you don't mind giving up your C'thun for cheap 8-cost spells. Against control, this might lose you the game!
Spell-only Mage has seen some play over the last two years, but it was never very good. Will the Barrens change that?
Maybe! Refreshing Spring Water is a big incentive to only run spells. We’ve also got some decent replacements for rotating cards: Flurry (Rank 1) can take the place of Ray of Frost, Runed Orb is similar to Magic Trick, and Cone of Cold is a slightly less effective Frost Nova.
For this version of the deck, I decided to go for a control style, with defensive cards like Ice Barrier, Flamestrike, and Combustion.
I’m not sure if this deck will be able to compete with other popular archetypes, but I’d like to know what everyone else thinks!
