Credits to Sonofares and his/her Control Hunter list for the idea:
http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/60-winrate-control-hunter
I didn’t think you can get a clearly positive winrate with it (around 51-52% is one thing, but around 60% is another), that’s what catched me, besides being a creative Hunter list, that took good card choices on paper.
I can confirm, that the list is capaple of 60%, playing between Rank 5 and 3.
Powerwise it feels like a tier Tier 3 deck to me. A diverse meta should be good for the list.
The deck has three ways to win I would say:
– vs Aggro: Stabilizing with Secrets, Spellstone, Weapons, Taunts, Rexxar and Scalehide on 6
– vs Control: Rexxar + Dire Frenzy
– vs unbeatable lategame: Spellstone
Unbeatable lategame decks are decks like Shudderwock, Quest Warrior etc., so in these matchups you have to beat them down first and quick, and the deck doesn’t shine in this category. Your only chance is an unanswered Spellstone, really.
Talking about some inclusions:
Harrison Jones: Hunter struggles with Card draw, that’s why we have to play Gnomish Inventor, so if the Card Draw of Harrison goes off, while removing the opponents weapon, we are happy.
Witchwood Grizzly: Of course not the dream, as you want to pull Shaw with Oakheart, but 3/12 taunt is better than nothing, if we were unlucky.
Countess Ashmore: She is really, really good in this list. Really.
If you have questions, feel free to ask, as always. ?
This deck looks really fun and effective. Guess I’m crafting Shaw to play it 😀
