Mulligans
General Mulligans
Pretty standard mulligan. Looking for early aggression and a way to potentially cheese out your mountain giant. Keeping Pocket Galaxy seems good due to it’s overwhelming power. I’m not sure about keeping Aluneth (definitely not against Aggro) but it’s a powerful 1 of and incredibly difficult to beat when paired with Pocket Galaxy. Jaina is usually a good keep too, but you don’t wanna keep too many big cards if your opener.
Aggro Mulligans
Looking for early aggression to fight off Aggro minions. Frost Lich Jaina also isn’t a bad keep if you have other playable cards in your hand as it usually ends the game against any Aggro deck.
Thought I’d share what I was thinking for a similar but different elemental mage from last format. This deck contains the classics that offered this deck success last format such as Mountain Giant+Book of Specters, lots of elemental synergy, discovery+leyline, and of course the always powerful Frost Lich Jaina. With the drop of boomsday and the introduction of Luna’s Pocket Galaxy, as well as a few other new cards that work with the deck, elemental mage has become even more powerful in controlling the board and ultimately killing your opponent.
