Mulligans
Aggro Mulligans
Keleseth is obviously a must. With no Dragons Fury, you need the Inventor for turn 5. I usually keep an Artificer and presume that there will be something to use it with by turn 7. 3 or 4 cost minions are also not bad, they get you on the board and often tank a small minion or two.. or you can attack and clear a minion with them yourself.
Control Mulligans
You pretty much Hard Mulligan for these cards vs control decks. The sooner you get both, the better!
I have been playing this deck for a few days. I’ve had a really good win rate thus far.
Basically it’s combining the board clears of a traditional Control Mage deck with some direct damage and additional Minions. There are very few Tech cards in this deck, it’s one of the reasons I like playing with it actually.
There are some new(ish) synergies for the archetype….
Zilliax Is a great additional defensive card, and works with Nightmare Amalgam orGiggling Inventor pretty well, or just on it’s own. With Dragons Fury being omitted, the additional heals are great turn 5 vs Aggro, (if you don’t draw Giggling Inventor).Cosmic Anomaly
I think Cosmic Anomaly is such a great card, this gets some great play in the deck, not least because it’s an Elemental, but also with Fireball, and even some board clears (buffing Blizzard or Meteor late game).
Anyway, there’s loads of good stuff in the deck, and It does allow you to switch to a more aggressive strategy VS some very slow decks.
The deck has no additional draw cards. This is partly deliberate as it’s great in slow match ups (odd warrior etc really struggles) where you don’t want to draw through your deck but also don’t want to have useless draw cards clogging your hand.
If you are THAT bothered about draw, you can easily add something in. I have not needed to.
Hope some people try this.
