Mulligans
Here is my Upgraded deck. (I just removed 4 cards (Hatchet, and Halazzi, and my old-time guardian: Savannah Highmane) and replaced them for 2 new ones. (Desert Spear for the Tempo-y Style that I wanted for Halazzi whilst still kind making it a Weapon, and because those 2 mixed together so well, that I was able to add in my new big daddy card: Wild Bloodstinger, as well a smoother chance for me to not .)
Your Idea is pretty much still there: Surviving until your last breathe to play Zul'jin for your Army of Wyverns and Animal Companions for your Last Resort. In the meantime, you don’t run out of gas as you would think because you will always try and find your beasts from your deck to help you sustain your board that much longer.
There is a big reason why I don’t play cards such as Unleash the Hounds or Kill Command, and that’s because you’re trying to build an Army with Zul'jin, from all the spells that you’ve cast, and It’s going to harm you more than it going to help you. You don’t care about a 1 mana 1/1 charge when you could have a 6 mana 5/5 with Rush that can protect you. And even though I have Mark Shot, I don’t trust Kill Command because It can still screw you over can moreover then not kill your Wyverns.
I love Marked Shot because It’s 4 Damage, and Your Wyverns can try and protect your Companions, whilst still manage to survive with 1 health, since the Wyverns have 5.
Deadly Shot and Dire Frenzy Have survived me very well too: For Deadly Shot It’s just helping you for Board Control and it will never screw you over, because it will always target enemy minions., and Dire I would say that these are pretty core card for a deck like this because they can not only help you make even more Wyverns that turn into 5 Mana 8/8 Rush Minions, but you can also give the Beast that you’ve cast also +3/+3 AND You still have them around your deck. So it just felt too good to not pass.
And Lastly, They’re been enough times where I safely say that Vicious Scalehide added with Dire Frenzy has also saved me more times then I can count. This little guy, in the right hands, really can be the Beast version of Zilliax, because of it’s 4 Attack and 6 Health.
The only weaknesses that you have are that you may have drawn out your Desert Spear too late for your Hyenas to do something, If You get too pressured from Aggressive Decks, or if you can’t survive long enough against something like Khagar Control Mage for example.
Looking forward to what My deck can do. Compared to my previous deck, where it was lacking a lot from Halazzi from not Functioning how I wanted him to be, or that I was something like Amani War Bear back then, that this is pretty much The 2.0. version of that deck.
