Great against aggro matchups, can be poor versus combo matchups if you can’t establish an early clock. New dragons from Rastakhan help with that issue though, but fair warning it’s a midrange/control list so it can be slow.
Flex spot(s): Alexstrasa
I think alextrasa is a good choice on the ladder because it helps with our worst matchups; kingsbane, odd mage, and some combo decks. Putting them to 15 when you have a board established can be just game or set up a lot of pressure to close out the game. The timing to play Alexstrasa versus Kingsbane is tricky, but after a vanish you can typically safely establish a strong boardstate and then slam Alexatrasa to improve your chances of winning. No arguing that it is a very tough matchup. Only way to really win is to Zola a Gluttonous Ooze.
Cards to keep (will be updated as I continue playing):
It’s hard to make blanket statements, since Warlock, for example, can be control, midrange, or aggro. But basic guidelines can be established to help win rates with this list. I’ll flesh out this part of the description at a later time.
