Mulligans
General Mulligans
These five cards are generally the cards that you want to mulligan against anything. If you can't get these cards then you should keep anything you don't mind losing.
Tried to make an Astral Druid deck using some new cards and removing some old cards. This deck is kind of weak without some GvG cards, but if you wanted to play this deck in Wild Format, you could easily replace some cards.
This deck runs a lot of legendaries, most of which can be subbed for other cards.
I won’t explain every card, but I will explain some of the important ones:
Ancient of Lore and Nourish help keep the deck consistent with card draw (and a heal if you need it).
Y’shaarj because of its effect. I made the deck more friendly with this card by adding less Battlecry minions. Alternatively, this care can be subbed out for and other big minion like Onyxia in case you wanted to run Master Jousters instead of Sunwalkers.
Sir Finley to change playstyle. I recommend going for Life Tap because of its extra card draw, but if you don’t care about the extra card draw you could sub Finley for something else.
Raven Idol because of it’s infinite possibilities (board clears, other strong minions)
Sunwalker because it is a decent body with Taunt + Divine Shield
Molten Giant can be subbed for Blood of the Ancient One, in case you wanted to have some fun and make your opponent panic (:
Also, the new Druid legendary is TBA, so that might also make its way into the deck
EDIT 1: I realize that ramp is important in a deck like this and I was running a lot of cards that weren’t essential so I have removed Ancient Harbinger (Too slow and easily removed) and Nexus Champion Saraad (Not a very strong minion compared to the other minions) . However, if you like running Saraad or Harbinger, you can get rid of Faceless Manipulator as it can be a dead draw if it’s your only card in hand/minion
EDIT 2: I re-added Saraad and removed Master Jouster and Faceless Manipulator in favor of Sunwalker and Saraad to make the deck synergize better with Y’shaarj.
This is my first deck and I am not very good at making guides. Constructive criticism is appreciated.
Played this the other day, it as if the stars aligned for the player useing it, T1 Innervate and coin into Astral comm. T2 Nourish, Nourish. T3 Y’Shaarj Rage Unbound it brings in Cenarious. T4 Alexstraza me to 15 then dead.
Was absolute bs. I could not do anything but watch.
Sorry but it looks like a normal Astrologie deck with an old god card ._.’
I’m also running Finley, but you are right. There are still a lot of cards from the new set TBA, so this deck is nowhere near completion
Hi i been playing a ramp druid whit aviana and no AC i try to get to 10 mana fast and use aviana inervate to put in my big minions is very fun and nice to Play that way.
Y’shaarj will put any minion from your deck into the field that make your batlecrys useless and you got plenty master jouser for example you can switch that for the cow, i play spanush versión dont remember the name, is a nice deck il give it a try when expansión comes out, i wouldnt use y’shaarj if you got many batlecrys but deadwibg me be a good option if olayed directly you wont get oit of hand.
Sorry for ny bad English once again i speack spanish.
Hi! Thanks for your feedback. You are right, Y’shaarj doesn’t synergize well with some of the cards I’ve chosen, so I am editing the deck and possibly adding a sub list (:
So many one ofs needs reno
I thought about Reno and he could fit into the deck well so if you have any idea on what to sub him in for let me know (:
The deck luckes 2 important things. 1. Additional ramp in case you don’t get AC. And second is removal. Druid Is so bad at returning to the game, so 2 Swipe Is reasonable
I understand the additional ramp, but Astral Druids tend to not run any clear (hence the Deathwing and Ysera). However, I have little experience with Astral Druid and this is Theorycrafted after all, so removal might be able to fit in somewhere.
BTW, I added the ramp like you suggested because I tried it in my current Astral Druid (not this decklist) and it appears to be helping a lot
