Whats a good sub for lyra?
What is the ideal/easiest combo for this? Double velen MB or 2 MB velen? Thoughts?

I played it a lot recently and I think my favorite scenario was 2 mind blasts before T9, then Zereks with Velen, Maylgos and both elementals (+thalnos). Mindblasts cost 0 and deal 20 (22) each.
Actually Zereks cloning gallery (when all minions still sits in deck) and 2x mindblast, possibly vivid nightmare to Velen
Saw this yesterday for the first time and had 3HP left as Big Spell Mage before being able to turn into Jaina (and I did not draw second artificer). Given that I had no idea what I am seeing there and that I did not know against which Win condition to play I kinda think that this will be very fun to play on the one hand; on the other I think it will turn out kinda weak and not reliable enough. 1 hit with a water elemental and I would have been at 6HP, with the priest having played absolutely everything he had besides his original Lich King and trash spells that do not do damage. He only won because he had a second Mind Blast in hand the next turn after having absolute God draw from Zerek into resurrect velen into resurrect velen into resurrect Malygos, Velen and Thalnos twice all game – also was his last card in hand and the rest in the deck without any draw.
I think on a second encounter, knowing the decklist, the BSM could rip this priest in half before breakfast.
That’s not god draw. Cloning Gallery is supposed to grab your win cons. It’s the point of the deck
Doesn’t mean the order is always like that and every rez hits Velen exactly after so many minions died. I played versions of these decks myself and it’s just not what normally happens. If it would, there wouldn’t be so many activators in there.
Did this deck actually get to high legend? I remember watching Savjz with this deck in low legend and it wasn’t doing very well….
Asmo has been piloting this deck in high legend for a while now.
any replacement for velen?
I wouldn’t recommend replacing Velen. It’s part of the main condition with 20+ mindblasts to the face. It will stop the OTK aspect, which is the main focus of the deck.
why Zilliax? it pollutes the resurrecting pool
Life steal and rush make it great for living a bit longer to pull off combo
From what I heard from Savjz, it’s really good against aggro when you find it with Shadow Essence. Turns out a 6 mana 5/5 Taunt, Divine Shield, Lifesteal and Rush is pretty good.
