Mulligans

General Mulligans

Hadronox is the star of the deck, so it should be kept against control decks in order to pressure them as soon as possible. Against aggro decks, early game is everything, so look for an early taunt minion to play. In any matchup, ramp is the biggest advantage of druid.

If you like demolishing hyper aggro decks with taunts and armor or wiping a control deck with a 7 minion Branching Paths, then this is the deck for you. It focuses on curving out with taunt after taunt, into multiple Hadronox deathrattles through Naturalize, Witching Hour, and Carnivorous Cube

The Combo

When approaching 10 mana, Hadronox + Naturalize becomes the highest priority, especially when against decks that threaten a Hadronox with Mind Control or Polymorph. The combo isn’t always needed, however, when facing decks with no means to deny your Hadronox deathrattle. After getting one deathrattle off, you are almost always in a favorable position.

Once you get one rattle off, the game becomes much easier. In games where Hadronox is played, the deck has an astonishing 72% winrate. From this point on, look to combo Witching Hour with Carnivorous Cube, and follow up your massive boards with Branching Paths to close out the game.

Card Substitutions

For dust constraints, The Lich King can be replaced with Ultimate Infestation if owned, or Trogg Gloomeater if necessary. The poisonous taunt is not as bad as one may think, allowing you to get through Voidlords easier.

Every card in the deck is set in stone, except for the 4 flex slots taken up by Ferocious Howl, Branching Paths, and Ultimate Infestation. Some decks run 2 Howls, 1 Paths, 1 UI. Others run 0 Howls, 2 Paths, 2 UI. Run what you like most. For me, I like the howls as activators for Ironwood Golems, and the the paths is simply one of my favorite cards in the game. You can’t afford to lose your Hadronox , so excessive drawing through UI could be problematic.

UPDATE:

Wrath is being tested in place of Tar Creeper. I think wrath is much more proactive against control decks, possibly functioning as highly desired cycling. However, the creeper shuts out aggro efficiently.

Cheapest and best version I’ve seen. Definitely going to craft mine based on this.

    Thanks

Thanks. I’ve played Wild exclusively since the first set rotation, but this deck got me to play standard. Super fun and highly recommend it.
