Foreword
When Gral, the Shark, was revealed, there were a few speculations about what he could be used for. The best speculation was using The Darkness, but that seemed too inconsistent. However, by making the rest of the deck entirely spells, it can be (almost) guaranteed to pull out a 22/22 on turn 5 and [Insert card here] + Cold Blood + Cold Blood on turn 6 to OTK any non-armor gain classes. Of course, with removal being frequent (i.e. Naturalize, Shadow Word: Death, etc.) the odds of Gral surviving the first death is unlikely, so Cheat Death is used to give Gral a second or third shot. Remember, the goal of this deck is too meme the opponent to death with a 30/22, not to be a viable deck, so keep that in mind.
How to play
The main goal of this deck is to play Gral on curve, don’t draw The Darkness, and laugh next turn. If you need to deal additional damage due to armor gain, use Sinister Strike or Eviscerate. Of course, there is a very large problem with this deck: a lack of minions. In order to combat this problem, steal minions from your opponent’s class with cards like Academic Espionage, Pick Pocket, and Hallucination. If you need to get rid of a pesky threat that plans on snowballing, use Sap or Assassinate if you don’t have Gral or if you have Preparation. If your opponent is a degenerate and plays Odd Paladin, use Fan of Knives. Preparation is the best card in this deck aside from the combo, owing to the fact that the deck contains 28 spells.
Wrap-up
The most important part of this deck is not to expect to win. It can be countered by basically everything, but if you really want those sweet Top Hearthstone Plays moments, this is the deck for you. If you do make this deck and are able to pull it off consistently, let me know what I can do to make it better. Thank you for reading.
Very unfortunate but cheat death doesn’t work because the darkness will be destroyed and you won’t get stats
Still works if you played Academic ^^
Just needs a lot of setup before
Shoot, I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me. This deck does need work, then. Thanks for the input.
