In just four days, we should learn more about the new expansion at BlizzCon. We’ll most likely learn the expansion’s name, theme, as well as some cards showcasing new mechanics.
Which means that it’s time for some teasers! Blizzard has just released one. At the beginning, we see Wyrmrest Temple in Northrend with Dalaran floating over it in the Lazul’s crystal ball. The location is closely related to Dragon aspects. It’s also the very same tower that Deathwing was impaled on in the “alternative future” Caverns of Time dungeon called “End Time”.
Later Lazul is talking about two different outcomes and the choice we’ll have to make. Maybe she refers to the single player content, where we’ll have to pick between playing as League of E.V.I.L. and League of Explorers? Or maybe those two will end up joining forces after facing an even bigger threat? We might also see some kind of community voting, which will affect the outcome of Year of the Dragon story line? Blizzard wasn’t afraid to experiment over the last few months, so they might be preparing something grand!
What do you think about it? What are your predictions?
Soon we will find out if my theory is right that the fate of the world rests in the hands of……Bob.
Don’t u think that Bob is “weird” all along?
First he open a tavern in Dalaran, helping bad guys, and then suddenly, when Dalaran City is flying, he somehow showed up in the desert of Uldum, helping the good guys.
I mean, he is everywhere at once.
There’s a few theories on why he is everywhere one of which is that he’s a dragon from the bronze dragon flight meaning he’s traveling in time. The one that’s most popular though is that Bob is actually one of the gods in disguise.
Choosing between Evil-League or Explorer means there are 2 possible outcomes.
Good End (as the world returns as it was), or Bad End (the world is ruined)
If that happens, I don’t know what how they gonna mixed it in the outcome of the grand finale.
If only I knew what Rafaam intentions was when he said to Tekahn that he’s got whatever he needs before ditching Tekahn to the League of Explorers.
IMO, Dalaran got some sort of Time Spells, and Uldum got Reborn (Life Spells), and when combined, Rafaam could actually revive Deathwing from death. But to what purpose?
terrorize the world again?
Dragonblight has the dragonshrines, places of power imbued with the power of the aspects before they lost their power, WoW lore has half of them dead and all of them diminished. Reborn is more necromancy than healing magic, combining the focusing lens of dalaran, ancient resurrection/reanimation magic, the power of the dragonshrines and all the big bads that died there could give you literally whatever degree of uber monster you want. Tyr, Galakrond, Deathwing, lots of magnataurs, and on top of that a butt load of Scarlet Crusade idiots.
Tyr was one of the mightiest titan watchers he fell defending against the forces of the old gods. Depending on the retcon Tyr retreated to what would later be Tirisfal I beleive that happened before the war of the ancients, but my WoW lore is jumbled after Legion.
Galakrond was the biggest meanest dragon/protodrake bigger than the aspects but with less magical power.
Magnataurs were hulking centaurs that were mammoths waist down with giant arms, torsos and tusks.
On top of that we had Nerubian ruins on the edges of the area deep beneath the ice.
But no Focus Lens of Dalaran ever mentioned. But why did he took the entire city?
Time for WoW google. I guess I need to read a lot of WoW lores huh.
Lores aside, it means a lot of dragons gonna be re-animated back to life. Fitting for the End Theme of the Year of Dragon. Which means, a lot of dragon archetypes might get introduced in this last expansion. (Or not, again, I don’t have great lore of WoW).
Thanks for the explanations.
It was Galakrond… but hes a hero card even though we were told not to expect one this year.
I think that maybe Joe is the big enemy in this expansion
Yep, just like it was a surprise when facing… Joe Daddy
Hoping for many sexy and coll dragons 😀
cool*
