For Standard this card is not that great. Druid’s only spell they would like to cheese out is Nourish; everything else is already low mana are not very good.
This card will need to see some much stronger druid spells to be competitive.
I don’t think its broken in wild, I mean already kaelthas cast UI at 0 cost (even 2 in a round)
People will experiment with this card at least I’ll likely run it in quest druid since can play turn 10 with nourish get 2 Mana crystals and draw 3 cards with chance to toss out 2 more decent spells. It will be way more effective in wild with Aviana making so everything costs 1. But will wait and see what new spells druid will get this year.
9 mana is expensive for this card but don’t forget the mana discount options we have (new dormant, Jepetto) and Elyse to double the spells.. This card will see experimentation.
Not that good. Keep in mind that this card makes Innervate and Coin cost 1 mana as well, so using this card in a combo deck means you have to get rid of Innervate.
Summary:
Broken in wild.
Bellow average in standard (for this expansion).
Maybe druid can cheat out minions in coming expansions, only then this card will become good.
As it stands, this card is way overrated. Kael’thas already does pretty much the same, but is way cheaper and more consistent. On a turn you play Ysiel you can’t really play more than one spell, since Coin and Innervate will cost 1 as well (unless you ramp with Nourish or Biology project which is rotating). There are only 2 scenarios in which this has some potential:
1. It has to be cheated out, but if that is the case, why not just cheat out Malygos and end the game on the spot?
2. It needs some crazy support that is not enabled by Kael’thas already, which is missing so far.
so they closed the wild mode..
I fell like kaelthas already does what this card can accomplish.
The card is so broken in Wild, but in Standart it’ll be fine I guess, specially considering Druid big spells tend to be more defensive oriented
Overrated card imo. 3/5 stars it might get stronger next xpac but not nearly enough cards now to support this, even if we get 3 more strong druid spells this xpac.
now wainting for Kun’s Blessing (cost whatever) refresh your mana crystals
I guess if this can be made cheaper or summoned any other way than spending 9 mana, this could be brutal
I think people are overestimating this card quite a bit.. Sure, mana cheating is always the most broken effect in any card game but unless Druid gets some big powerful spells (which ofc is still unrevealed for now), this card isn’t going to do anything close to as broken as what Aviana did. The effect isn’t as good on spells as it is on minions.
3 stars unless we get a busted big druid spell to go with this.
Ysiel + Ultimate Infestation…. Stoinks!
Aviana + Ysiel = Stoinks!
Aviana + Kun + Ysiel + Kael’thas= Empty deck
I think the big one is the Ysiel + UI though, that will be a super good turn… 10/10, draw 5, deal 5, gain 5, aaand spells cost 1 after that?
