You know what i think that this card just broke pirate warrior in wild. People already are running deaths bites there. Imagine this with the pirates package and captain greenskin shenanigans. You basicly don;t need any of the other bomb cards. This makes pirate warrior immune to reno decks and with some extra charges in this you can potentially have a great mid and lategame. Not to mention that drawing this can give you insta wins againts warlocks. The more they tap the more dead they are.

(Rating based on play it will see in the upcoming meta, similar to trump’s ratings)

    1 Star

    Trash.
If you want to upgrade your weapon and deal mad amounts of damage to face, just play arcanite reaper + upgrade and SMORC. Why beat around the bush with bombs?

Won’t see play in control as the weapon slot is already contested with supercollider and woodcutter’s axe. 1 mana nerf to Fiery war axe was enough to knock it out of orbit in terms of play, 2 mana nerf??? Not a chance. The effect of Blastmaster boom is probably not enough to justify running such a bad card. Just run clockwork goblin instead.

1 Star, won’t see play after the first week or two of the next expansion once people have realized the card is trash.

Or, maybe you’re wrong. You specifically seem very quick to judge cards without actually waiting for the rest of the expansion to be revealed. Bet you thought corridor creeper was bad too, huh?

keep in mind you shouldn’t base your rating of a card off of someone else’s, and put it into account for it’s effect + synergy with other cards. It’s definitely not the best card out there but i think it will be alright as you shouldn’t base your deck around one very specific card, as those cards usually are not as good as others but still are decent if they pull off their effect

There will be one specific deck running this weapon. Including Blastmaster Boom. Compared to Supercollider much slower. But it will see play in some kind of “Bomb/ControlWarrior”. With this specific deck 4/5, alone as card cool and fun mechanic 3/5.

Worse than the other Bomb cards, this is decidedly weak in terms of tempo and that’s a game breaker vs. Aggro and Midrange. 2/5

Wrenchcalibur is too low impact to see play while Supercollider is in Standard. Four mana for a 3/2 weapon with an effect that does not impact the board is not good enough. It should not be viewed as four mana for sixteen damage. It’s like calling Splitting Festeroot a 12/12 for eight, and a ten of that damage will on average come out far too slowly to affect the game.

This card’s effect will matter little in the aggressive and midrange match-ups while having some impact for the control match-up and only really mattering if playing against combo. Maybe that’s the point, but it won’t see play outside of what will be the mediocre Bomb Warrior deck.

Your forgetting a turn 7 blastmaster boom that cards power is dependant on bombs in opponents deck and one issue with super collider is that it’s power is dependant on opponent playing more than 1 minion and positioning not counting that odd warrior rotates which was the biggest abuser of super collider due to high armor gain.

Supercollider is still better than a 3/2 weapon for four. Most decks too will have multiple minions on the board if they can help it.

Blastmaster Boom is enabled well enough just by Clockwork Goblin, a card that is pretty reasonable for the effect on its own, and you won’t need more than that unless you’re really going for the on curve play summoning more than two bots.

There’s also dropping a captain green skin on curve making this a 4/2 weapon if attacked last turn and 2 more bombs to drop in opponents deck. Can’t dis cards that add bombs as saw with blastmaster there might be another that’s dependant. 3 cards doesn’t make much of an archtypye but 4-5 would. As the theme for warrior this time seems to be bombs.

Weapon buffs have seen zero play in Warrior decks that are not aggressive. Bomb Warrior is not a deck that can be aggressive due to the painfully slow nature of the bombs. The big issue with this card will always be that it is a four mana 3/2 weapon with no effects that affect the board.

If this were a 4/2 weapons, then I would be inclined to say this would see play based on its stat line alone, but it’s not. It’s a 3/2 for four. If Fiery War Ax as it is currently see zero play, then a more expansive version of the card for all intents and purposes outside of applications with Blastmaster Boom will not either.

Will they print a card which eats these bombs?

Probably not. It would contradict Boom’s effect.

not directly- it would be very targeted towards warrior itself, and hearthstone devs make tech cards for a variety of situations instead of just one

1 extra mana for 10 damage? Yes please. Two of these on their own could fit into almost any warrior deck. Only issue is the possible clash with Supercollider. 4/5

16 damage for 4 mana. And that’s without weapon buffs like greenskin and upgrade. 5/5

    Why not 4/2?

Card looks insane! the effect is very strong, 4/2 will be super broken

Do we know that the bombs from this are the same 5 damage as Clockwork Goblin and Seaforium Bomber? If so: that sounds INSANE–up to 16 damage for 4 mana with the option to add another 10 with Greenskin or Upgrade.

Friendlier to tempo with Elekk than the Battlecry minions- equip this and then Elekk next turn. You can buff this weapon for extra bombs but I’m not sure that’ll be totally necessary. If bombs work, this’ll work too, needless to say.

5/5 just for the name alone ahhh the ratchet and clank flash backs such sweet memories considering the cards that could boost how many times you can attack with a weapon this will get played. Considering it seems that warrior gets cards dependant on bombs in deck.

Well the bomb decks just became tons of aggro oriented instead of control, A bit higher cost than the Fiery waraxe but 3 dmg is still relevant removal with a twist.
