Can see play in Shaman on turn 10 with windfury spell and a minion on board, not that hard to do.
You could just use the spell windfury and give any minion windfury then play this card for a 10 mana combo even a minion with 5 attack could easily make a huge hit to the face.
Pretty terrible unless you combo it to take advantage of Mega-Windfury immediately.
That said, if you DO combo it… this + shaman Windfury spell = huge damage burst, and all you need is to stick a big minion to the board for 1 turn. This is especially fun times if you use it in Control Shaman and Ysera gives you Nightmare, although Dream is also nice in that it lets you get rid of taunts in the way of your Mega-Windfury minion for 0 mana.
I guess Shaman is meant to have burst damage win conditions? Wide boards have bloodlust, tall boards have this. Very strong win condition for Control Shaman. 5/5
I didnt know the keyword megawindfury. What does it? 4 attacks?
I think it will be hard to make a windfury minions stick on the board. But maybe the combo can include Haunting Visions. And than is the combo a 10 mana turn….
Like the burst potential there…. but will this be a thing? 3,5/5
Yeah, Mega-Windfury lets you attack 4 times. My thinking here is: If you manage to stick a moderately large minion on board for a single turn, say, a Fire Elemental. Then on the next turn, the Shaman spell Windfury + Whirlwind Tempest will let your Fire Elemental attack 4 times, which is a huge amount of burst damage; enough to end many games. You don’t need to stick a Windfury minion on the board; Shaman can give Mega-Windfury to any minion, combining this card with the Windfury spell. You could even push this harder as a combo with minions like Ravenholdt Assassin, which make it very hard for your opponent to remove them.
Congrats to this year having a slightly more interesting card as the final reveal.
Last time it was Ice Cream Peddler.
So basically at turn 10 and beyond you either kill shaman or keep board clean otherwise your dead.
Hmmm, walking fountain with ancestral spirit (so that it’s more likely to survive) and this card could be ridic.
We have seen this effect in the community created cards. The only bad thing is that the legendary card shaman got was murloc and if they had a card that makes your elementals cost 1. All those great 8 stated elementals would have it going in standart. I thought it was the year of the dragon not the year of the elemental. And most windfury minions don’t have more than 4 attack.
A big minus to this card is that is that it doesn;t synergize with doomhammer. Otherwise you could have a potential WINfurry deck :D.
Overall a very poorly recreation of the fanmade card. And a big missed oportynity to bring in a whol enew archetype to the game. Windfurry minions were basicly used in shaman decks because their minion attack booster card could make them somehow competitive.
Better job next time.
in normal its gonna take some testing, but in wild could be insane using the elemental to reduce his cost
say 2 of those summon shudderwock hes down to 4 mana
summon any minnion with charge thats not to expensive
4/2 minnion for 4 i think could be wrong
spell that gives windfury
edit
best i can see for it in wild shaman at least
use alakir, 2 of the reduce elementals and shudder
get this and alakir down to 4
summon both then use elemental power boost on ala
20 damage to face if no taunt
It looked meh at first, but it has potential in Shaman. Al’akir and Walking Fountain are entirely possible to stick to the board, then this + Rockbiter for nearly 30 damage. Or stick a big random minion and use the Windfury spell + this. It creates a big burst finisher using minions that Control Decks and Big Decks probably want to run regardless.
This + Windfury (the Shaman spell) is 10 mana. You do need to make it to turn 10 and have a large minion stick around a turn, which isn’t outrageous but is definitely too niche to build a dedicated combo deck around. So is there some deck that could go about a different game plan and slot those two cards in as well? Seems unlikely to be honest, but IF this card sees play I’d imagine it’s most likely in that context.
Stick Linecracker and then play Windfury and this on 10 must be so friggin funny
This + Fountain Elemental or whatever is called = Evil Genius.
Grab this card, but put in 1 copy. having 2 feels overkill.
Seems like it could be a decent alternative win condition for a midrange Shaman along with the Windfury spell. If they let you build a board with many smaller minions, you get them with Bloodlust + Windfury. If they use all their removal to prevent that and you can drop a big minion on turn 9 and have it stick around, you win with Windfury + this.
Blizzard: “We’re removing the enrage keyword because not enough cards use it”
Mega-Winfury: *Sips tea nervously*
Who voted this so low?
With just a 2 + any minion card combo that the opponent did not/could not clear, means a devastating burst, which is what a Shaman Control could just need. I’m contemplating Dragon Shaman alot more now.
Not to mention, Elemental Shaman is rejoicing in Wild. To me, this + the Soup was more satisfactory than the whole Stream.
5/5. Such a game winning effect potential.
Is there any good Windfury minions appart from the Shaman one?
the new shaman common with lifesteal, rush, windfury. alakir (the good one you mention) , any minion you give windfury (with the basic 2mana spell)…
Maybe this with some charge minion and Shudderwock?
Ok it’s not a Battlecry, forget about that xD
Well corpse taker is an obvious one, thankfully that’s rotating.
