Instant favorite of this set for sure! My wild deathrattle highlander Rogue will love this card, along with the 1-cost spell Secret Passage!
People are saying this will be overpowered, but like what deck does this fit in? If there is a Deathrattle deck that comes around, then this will undoubtedly see play, but there is no deck with that gameplan, and we haven’t seen any cards printed that would support that gameplan, so yeah I think this will see experimentation, but this will probably be cut pretty soon.
Stock two mass silences in your priest deck
Please nerf this. 5 stars
I can already see the priests and hunters.
Really good. I’m more interested in this as a tempo card triggering lower cost deathrattles like draw, small re-summons, primes, even birds, or in the ugliest case – face hunter fodder. Maybe we get more good targets, or there will be good late game applications, too.
With Astromancer Solarian , two Youthful Brewmaster, two Ancient Brewmaster, a Barista Lynchen and a Sathrovarr , Vectus could give you up to fifteen Solarian Primes in a single mage deck. Let the memes begin!
17, actually.
Actually more than that i hit higher with 1 extra legend and 2 non legends. And if tag sathrovar it’s higher.
Solarian first. 1. Vectus brewmaster. 3. Again. 5. Vectus other brewmaster. 7. Again. 9. Vectus. 11. Now you could have barista involved at any point. And if she tags a brewmaster to great. The problem is sathrovar is a 9 cost so there may be nothing to tag so what do you do. Well all you need is maiev. To lock vectus. In few turns tag with sathrovar one to hand one in deck that makes 13. And 15. The barista could get you to 17 or more depending on what hit.
Now another card that could help this besides maiev who makes using sathrovar so much easier. Is Body Wrapper you get to discover a friendly dead minion and add a copy to deck so potentially you could get back 2 of the returning cards or cloning cards. Adding 4 or more to the count.
Exactly my first intentions
Thank you sir for making my yogg randomonium deck even more entertaining.
There is nothing better to do when your bored than to play a wacky deck that you have no clue what’s going to happen.
meta defining
It’s an almost-borderline playable token card just on its own, which means you don’t need to highroll massive Deathrattles to start considering him, just have a consistent few that would be cool to repeat. We’re due for more Deathrattle synergies and he’s super strong support for the archetype!
Wonder if both can get the death-rattle of one minion. Then maybe it is possible to do a combo in warlock with Octosari and Treachery. So your opponent draws 16 cards xD,
(Don’t think it would be a good deck, just a fun one.
I’m pretty sure they can both get the deathrattle from one minion, but Treachery could be hard since you have to Treachery both of them. But the fact it works with just 1 Deathrattle enables a whole bunch of Mecha’thun Combos!
How is the interaction with the 5 mana 0/3 neutral dragon egg ?
Chromatic egg? The death rattle won’t summon a minion since you didn’t choose on with the battlecry
Are you sure? Doesn’t the battlecry simply define what the deathrattle will be? So let’s say you play a chromatic egg and get Deathwing, it dies and summons Deathwing cause the deathrattle says “summon Deathwing”
Then you play Vectus and it gains the same deathrattle, simple as that. I think you’re confusing it with the fact that Chromatic egg doesn’t do anything if it’s cheated out or evolved into for example.
All battlecry related deathrattle cards are coded in the same way, so it wouldn’t work. They seek they effect in buffs, which aren’t copied by gain deathrattle effects, if I remember correctly.
Not sure about that. If you play Teron on Chromatic egg, it will come back as 1/4 without deathrattle (tested it myself). It is an interesting question tough. On the same note, I am interested in the interaction with Teron himself. I suspect the Whelps would unfortunately do nothing in both situations.
Only way to copy a battlecry related deathrattle is by coping with a card like: Faceless Manipulator; or by cards like Unearthed Raptor or Mok’Nathal Lion.
Also you can create weird deathrattle effects using a Shudderwock and Da Undatakah.
Wait..! This is just Shudderwock, but for Deathrattle.
MY JAWS THAT BITE!
MY CLAWS THAT CATCH!
Yeah, okay, I can see this being used.
There’s going to be a lot of Homes that are their Tomb, so Each whelp can at least heal you for 6. You do the math, and as long as there is no silence, you can heal up to 24 Health from just 2 Kartat Defenders.
5 Stars. Welcome back home, Shudderwock’s Spirit. <3
Actually um… Not really.
If a whelp copies a defender’s deathrattle, they are going to copy the 3-health healing effect, but not the Reborn one since it is treated as a separate thing. I’ve tested it with Kobold Apothecary and I can assure you it works this way. In other words copying defender’s Deathrattle with this would make it pretty mediocre.
But because the two defenders has both died twice (one before reborn and one after reborn), from the cards context this should trigger 4 “heal 3” deathrattle and hene heal for 24.
Oooh, really. So you don’t get the Double Deathrattle from Defender? You just get one of their Deathrattles?
Shhhh don’t tell him, he’ll try it out and go 😮 when he just heals for 6.. xD
????
I posted a laughing emoji not 4 question marks 😀
Mecha C’thun 😛
You still need an AOE to clear all three minions for 5 mana, not every class has access to that.
No but for warlock in wild it will be a lot easier (Only needs to combo with one card), only issue is to play Thun once and have it killed and not stolen or transformed. .
That was also why bloodmana or what ever it is called that let’s you play a spell with the cost of your health was nerfed before because it was to easy to do Thun, but with this it is technically even easier…
I suppose Plague of Fire could also work? It’s 1 mana.
Can’t be run in Even Hunter? Unplayable. But honestly, the card seems decent. I’m wondering if only one deathrattle minion died before playing this, do both whelps gain its effect? Maybe you run it with deathrattles that draw you cards? It would feel bad for priest to potion of madness one of your whelps, but that barely scratches the card’s playability. It has a lot of potential, I’m just not thinking of all the different possibilities this card can create atm.
This is a really good card for highlander decks that run like one or two powerful deathrattles. Or lepergnome styled hyper aggressive hunter decks..
The fact alone that this is a 5 mana 6/6 with ahuge potential upside says it all, it’s a powerful card and get more and more powerful as new deathrattle cards are released. I dare say 5/5.
This card is nuts it’s an auto include for deathrattle decks I can already see the hunters dropping this in with the prime. Then you have warriors potentially priests will as well of course. Also anyone else realise this card let’s other classes pull off a version of priests bull crap albatross deck just 1 death and this can set up tossing in 4 more 1/1s probably keep another deathrattle as well as an alternate but you would only need one copy to potentially toss 6 1/1s into the deck basically killing pure pally, spell mage, and Highlander decks. As well as possible interference on say a big druid. I can potentially see a few classes getting away with this not counting Hunter could do it with the rush gain copy of deathrattle.
More like Undatakah than N’Zoth.
Could be pretty cool with Totem Goliath, and hopefully gets some more support this expansion, too!
Arena 4/5
Standard 5/5
Wild Mini Nzoth !! 6/5!
5 Mana 6/6 Stats and it shuffels 2 Primes into your deck.
I think multiple classes who play their Primes as only Deathrattle will love adding Vectus to their decklist. Also works well with some others like Convincing Infiltrator or Chronobreaker in Priest or the new Infiltrator Lilian in Rogue!
Thanks to the good stats, this will also lead slower decks into the lategame by giving value and board presence at the same time, which is pretty rare!
Yeah primes are a good call. Getting more primes will be dope, but I think to run Vectus, you’ll need to run more (I’d say at least 3) deathrattle minions to guarantee Vectus has a deathrattle to take when played.
I could see this card really enable some deathrattle archetypes.
Deathrattle Archetypes are pretty dead in standart unfortunatly. Hunter could have one, but this would feature beasts, beasts mean Porcupine and Porcupine doesnt work with Vectus.
But i think some archetypes, especially Highlanders, will adapt do fit more deathrattle. Scrapyard Colossus is a pretty strong card when silence isnt too dominant and already played in Druid due to Mana Cheat and for Hunter or Priest Loot Hoarder and Bloodmage Thalnos provide much needed card draw which can be repeated with Vectus. Rogue has Lilian and Skyvateer and their Prime is awesome to copy (Imagine multiple permanently stealthed minions!). Last but not least we have Mage, who has nothing to really go for with Deathrattle but probably the strongest prime, so they might experiment with Vectus + only Solarian.
Shuffling multiple primes will turn off zeph, reno and alex…
By the time you play Vectus, these are either already played or the deck is small enough to get the Primes out fast enough. Of course, it is risky, but everyting in Mage is high risk high reward. But Solarian Prime is a very high reward 😀
