Yeahhhh drawing 4 up to 12 cards is going to be nuts. It’d be good without the 4/4 body. I expect this in every Control Lock deck, and I think we should see plenty of control lock this meta given what else was released this expansion.
Ok, since no one asked…what happens when this dies? It doesn’t say permanently, so does the effect die too? And if so, do the extra cards (and the next draw) vanish?
The 12 card hand is permanent and it won’t disappear when he dies.
Omg I love this card
First of all, 12 hand size is insane, any warlock would want to run this because of life tap, second drawing 4 for 7 plus a 4/4 body is incredible as well, like sprint and then summoning a free 4/4. So many of these cards are OP but this might be the craziest if not most powerful.
Finally, the 1 mana mountain giant
Or the 0 mana clockwork giant for your opponent
Now you’re thinking with portals
It’s a cool card, but Warlock still needs a lot of things to have a viable slow deck – healing, midgame removal, and lategame threats key among them. Granted, we’ve seen a few of those slots starting to fill in these reveals and I expect to see more of them.
While this supports Handlock, it also kinda misses the point of handlock – when Evenlock was good it was because it could cheat out Mountain Giant or a super tough Twilight Drake early. Good handplays in the *lategame* wasn’t quite part of the picture.
Great card for Handlock also makes the plot twist elekk setup even better since can have more in hand.
What. The. Heck.. This is a Sprint on a 4/4 that also increases your hand size? That’s pretty insane especially since Warlock seems to be getting pretty nice control tools. This won’t be op but it will be interesting to see what people come up with using this card.
This might be useless thing for the most part but it can reduce the cost of mountain giants even more lul
This is an awesome handlock enabler, but doesn’t count as a win condition in and of itself. We will need to see some more powerful control and hand-style cards released (not that I doubt that will happen, seeing as Blizz look like they want to push handlock).
Very very cool, but what do you do with it? Quest/control seems to have the tools, but without a clear win condition, particularly when you’re often approaching fatigue. Mechathun? Summoning 1/1 imps with Galakrond? haha
i cant wait to put this in my mecha’thun warlock
Finally a legendary of warlock that doesn’t suck
I bet Sprint is feeling pretty bad about itself right about now.
Okay, what is even going on anymore. This is still really cool by the way, and the first card ever that goes above the standard threshold for cards, on top of that it’s a Sprint with a free 4/4 body. Yeah, who wouldn’t want to play this, even for some of the faster Warlock decks out there? 5 Stars.
Love this card, 12 card hand-size can be really useful. (At least in wild)
Carta filha da puta, meu irmão. KKKKKKKK
Control- and Hand- Lock are going to have some impact on this meta.
Well, warlock just deleted sprint, and can now actually have a superior hand size…
Things I never thought they would do:
–Make an actual “graveyard”
–Play with the max amount of mana crystals
–Increase the max hand size
Today, Team 5 proved me wrong on one of these!
There are plenty of interesting designs this expansion and I love that they are pushing the limits. As for the card itself, it is undobtfully strong and has some combo potential. However, it is incredibly slow tempo and as such hard to play in faster meta.
As a mobile user, I’m very afraid for the UI of a 12-card hand and expect it to be super bugged on release. Is this card good? Well even without increasing your hand size, it’s sprint with a 4/4 attached to it. You can make Mountain Giant super duper cheap with this as well. In a combo deck, it’s just crazy draw. I’m not sure how exactly this card will fit into decks, but there will probably be space somewhere.
PRAISE VALDRIS! HANDLOCK IS BACK, BOYS!
Been waiting since 2016. Handlock was the second deck I ever crafted (after Oil Rogue). Evenlock couldn’t satisfy the craving.
