Pretty sure this card is the most overhyped card of the set (for wild).
Very good discard card but in standard there are no good synergy for it. 1/5
But in wild this card is so wtf-broken. 5/5
this will be the broken wild card of the set, it wll enable crazy combo with hand of guldan to draw back whatever you discard
Great for delaying your fatigue!!! When you get there…
Hot garbage. Unless there’s a way to redraw your hand right after you play it, but even then it’s still shit.
Well, there is malchezar’s imp, but it’s still bad imo.
I reviewed the card from a Standard player standpoint.
Imagine making a card that makes Surrender to Madness look good.
Massive implications for wild with a hand full of “When you discard this card” effects to trigger them all at once, activate Lakkari Sacrifice super quickly, and potentially mana-cheat all the cards you didn’t want to discard anyways. Need tons of draw to make up for it, but Hand of Gul’dan can compensate.
God-awful for standard without tons of support being released, there’s nothing for it right now. Any combos it might enable are almost definitely doable with Runed Mithril Rod without eating your hand.
And then, your hand is empty???
Yes! The ULTIMATE sacrifice!
This card has potential to make OTKs.
I wonder if this might be good in Wild Discardlock …
Woo-hoo 😀 now I must try Quest Discard Warlock again.
Oh boy OH BOY! This is my FAVOURITE card of the set so far. SUPER MEGA MANA CHEAT is always fun to play around with! That said, it’s probably really bad, BUT THAT WON’T STOP ME!
2/5, but 5/5 in fun factor
I have been thinking for a bit and there are cards that WANT to be discarded, but also maybe there’s potential for a deck with HUGE minions that taps on turn 2 and uses tome tampering on turn 3. Perhaps you add quite some draw cards as well, and suddenly you’ve got a pretty cool niche deck!
Dead Man’s Hand except there’s a twist : it sucks. 1/5
