Even without the hunter quest this card would be decent. It would work very well in tribe decks where you need creature types to activate abilities you can just use this to get 1 cost tribe cards.
So many people slamming this card…
This thing is brilliant! Not only do hunters currently suffer from lack of decent card draw (Starving buzzard… woo…) but also this is specifically drawing out 1 mana minions which means you much less rng over what your gonna draw.
Plus theres gonna be some GREAT 1 mana minions to dig for such as; the brood raptors from the quest (3/2 Battlecry: Draw a card) and the daddy raptors (1 mana 4/3), even just drawing an abusive sargent could be an important swing for you.
Synergy with hunter quest is obvious. Besides this card itself is huge value. Drawing two card is worth 3 mana. Drawing specific type is even better. You essentially play a 3/5 body with 2 mana.
By turn 5 you have drawn 8 or 9 cards, and counting in mulligans you have filtered about 2/5 of your deck. hunters would likely put ~10 1-cost minions in their quest deck. So you expect to have drawn about 4 1-cost by turn5.This card gives you another two, and if any of them is a FireFly then you can happily complete the quest.
This card is getting more shit than it deserves. On the surface you get no value with the stats but that’s not the purpose of the card. In a sense this card is this set’s Justicar. What i mean by that is this card will rarely affect the game with it’s stats because it’s not hard to remove. You aren’t playing this card for the stats because it’s effect can do three things effectively. In a normal hunter deck playing this card improves your odds of top decking as your pulling out your low mana cards, the obvious one is the completion of the quest, and then once you get the queen this card can effectively jump start your new “raptor deck” which is inevitably what your deck will become once the queen is played.
Overall, Not Bad
This card is much much much better after they released the hunter quest
Yes, this guy suddenly became an auto-include for questing hunters, as did Tundra Rhino.
woah chill hunter!
To me, this card seems not too great on the surface, however, I feel that this may possibly synergize with the hunter quest. If the quest is either “summon x amount of 1 mana minions,” or “summon x amount of beasts,” then this card will make a lot more sense for why Blizzard created it. But if the quest is not along those lines, then I don’t see it getting much play in constructed.
Tutor effect makes this potentially great for a combo deck depending on what one-drops will be available.
Many of the new one-drops released so far happen to be elementals, and Blizzard said they wanted every class to be able to at least dabble in elemental synergy (mage/shaman just being a focus), so there’s a possibility you could play this into 2 one-drop elementals that maybe even give you more elementals, and then on the following turn do something crazy.
I like being able to explore different avenues of control or combo with hunter, and I find it disappointing that most people in this comment section want every new hunter card to be ZOMG-LOATHEB-DUAL-WIELDING-GLAIVEZOOKAS.
This is also a warrior-cat dude that potentially summons an army of kitties, just throwing that out there.
Surely there must be some kind of synergy coming with this card.
Maybe the hunter quest?
Maybe?
Please?
Hot Garbage.
What has hunter always been worst at?: drawing cards
What does this card do?: draw cards
Conclusion: It can’t be that bad
Way to kick hunter while its down, blizzard.
In my opinion, the idea is to draw two boars 1/1 when you have Don’ Hancho on hand… why not? It could be playable.
Since when is drawing two cards bad? Last minion to do this (ancient of lore) they nerfed be cause it was really powerful. And this helps out with the quest. average stats for a 4 drop 3/5 right? one more mana youre drawing two cards. that doesn’t exist in the game. This is going to surprise everyone so much its stupid. I’m calling it. One of the most under rated cards in the set.
I just don’t understand how Blizzard thought this would be a good card. I thought the whole idea was to buff hunter, not keep it the worst class in Hearthstone

As a long time hunter player, I can safely conclude that this card is complete garbage.
A 3/5 wouldn’t go in an aggro deck, and why the hell would you want to play two 1 cost minions on turn 6 unless you don’t have anything decent to play on curve?
Is there something I’m missing here?
This card is amazing… except that it gets countered hard by Weasel Tunneler.
Being serious:
It doesn’t look that good, but one thing to consider is that it removes two 1-drops from your deck before you start to top deck. Xander Raidon mentioned that benefit for Arena, but it’s also applicable for constructed.
Playing 1-drops on turn 6 or later isn’t great, but there are a few worth mentioning: Shifter Zerus, Timber Wolf, and Secretkeeper come to mind. There are some promising new 1-drops revealed so far for Un’goro, and Hunter will probably get one designed to play well with this card.
You could also use it to grab meta counters like Bloodsail Corsair (plausible), Hungry Crab (stretching a bit), or Weasel Tunneler (lol).
I think I’m more upset they wasted amazing card art on this kinda crappy effect and stat-line. Of course Azure Drake is going to be leaving us soon so we’ll need new 5-drops of choice, but this card still might not be up-to-snuff. It has less attack than Azure drake and more health, which wouldn’t be an issue if it were a beast (which it is not) and could benefit from being buffed by Houndmaster. This card may be alright in midrange or control hunter where you need to get your low cost minions out of your deck so you can draw your high-end cards faster, but it still seems too slow.
I wish this card art was used on a 5 mana 3/5 minion that had: Battlecry: Adapt your beasts.
I also hope we see a card like that sometime in this expansion, I suspect a lot of people would be sorely disappointed if were not printed. I suspect even more people would be upset if it were printed for Druid rather than Hunter.

should be…
a 5/5
or replace with varian effect.
or replace with 2x camel effect.
or 2 mana with reduced stats(1/4 or 2/2) because hunters have a bunch of 3 and 4s.
When I read it wrong and thought it said put them on the battlefield then it was a good card once I read it right now it’s a poop.
Wow….garbage.

I just don’t feel this fits in any Hunter Archetype. A 5-mana 3/5 is just too slow in agressive decks, and you don’t really need to play 1-drops when our powercards (Highmane, Dredd, CoTW etc) are available. It could work in Control, as it drows Tracking, Hunter’s Mark or even mistress, and it also trims the deck, but I don’t think control hunter will be able to afford such a slow 1-mana card if it wants to stay alive.
On the other hand, this is insane in arena.
It draws minions only, so no Mark or Tracking.
this card is insane ! 5 mana 3/4 (weak body) draw 2 cards ! Even if the cards are 1 mana minion it is extremly powerfull as the remaining card of your deck will be midrange or lategame cards. I have to mention that hunter will be able to play A LOT of small minions to compete with other aggro deck but with high consistency in the late game.
This is also a really good card to help finishing the quest (all your 1 drop will be beast). Is it enough to compete with pirate warrior … i don’t know, but if pirate warrior get kicked out of the meta then hunter will become a powerfull midrange class.
Camel basically, without beast…. Good in midrange hybrid perhaps
I mean, getting a card to draw minions sounds pretty ok, but I feel like hunter needs a faster card. In my opinion, this could’ve been a lot better in terms of game play for hunters if this card were to play them instead of putting them in your hands. As overpowered as it sounds, hunter really needs some fast cards to be competitive again.
Not a bad arena card. Let’s you have 1-drops without suffering from top-deck sickness
A little slow but gotta like the card draw.
Anything that draws cards in Hunter is a good card! Where was this revealed?
