Probably the best rogue card for copying. I was able to copy Heistbaron Togwaggle 8x into my deck with a single card. The longer this card is in your hand the more you can copy. +1 copies for each turn this in your hand. 5/5

Its a very strong card, I just don’t see it getting any real play in a viable rogue deck. (I don’t think the pogo hopper deck will be strong either, because rogue just does not have the cards to sustain a control/value deck)
Gang up was pretty much only good in mill rogue, which I don’t see coming back any time soon.
2 Stars, because it will see play, just due to its sheer power, but probably in very niche, weak decks.

Rogue ownage…hated them in WoW, hate them even more now, and this just is the topping on the cake. Burn deck orgasm…really starting to dislike this game.

So I played a fair amount of pogo rogue after boomsday and let me tell you.
This is really good.
The only question is will rogue have the card draw it needs for bunnies.
With Zola and Valeera the Hollow rotating out, Pogo-Rogue won’t be able to go infinite… this is probably the next best thing, but Pogo-Rogue isn’t exactly consistent.
It’ll need quite a bit more support, I think, to become *really* viable.
Pogo rogue goes infinite with lab recruiter though…
Not quite the same though, you don’t really want to try infinite with Hoppers and Recruiters, you want to play a more tempo-oriented game by getting extra hoppers in the deck early and pulling them as fast as possible to generate multiple massive threats as soon as possible… but not necessarily an infinite number of them.
With Valeera and Zola you play a Hopper, then use Zola to add another to your hand then “Shadow Reflection Zola” to add another Zola to your hand for next turn, rinse and repeat – it takes card draw out of the equation guaranteeing an ever-larger hopper each turn.
First route you hope to out-tempo your opponent and kill them before they kill you, the second is better in a grindy game as it provides truly infinite value. To go infinite with hoppers and recruiters, late game, you’ll have to copy Recruiters into your deck as well as Hoppers – which you then have to draw, so is less consistent.
Ideally you want both options available – but without Zola and Valeera the Hollow…
This is OP. Pure OP. Gang up was 2 mana, and it was insta win againts control decks cards. This costs one mana and its effect is much more powerfull than that of gang up. I have seen rogues in wild wait for me to complete the quest and get 3x amaras or carnasas without having t osacrifice their entire deck to commit into a card that destroys their turn 1 and their card draw.And if patches had charge we would have finally seen patches OTK :D. Maybe nomi myra is a thing after all. You can mira on turn 6 into nomi than put 2 nomi into your deck with the scheme that myra drew you the previous turn for a constant board of 6/6.
We are going to see the return of the Poggo hoppers. And some mechs are going to come back.
Holy cow Dr 7 could returning for third time into heartstone :D. Maybe they can reprint him 7 times just to be true to his name.
Going back to the card just OP. We are awaiting the ragnaros replacement fot 8 mana win the game card if you can;t remove it. But you get the point you can get many copyes of a really good minion regardless yours or if your oponent played it.
Mill rogue can find a return into standart with a minionion that draws your oponents cards. Just battlecry your oponent draws a card is enough :D.
I think this card will give Rogue some power. You can get some more sustain, wich Rogue is not known for. Shuffling like 5 Ziliax into the deck would be enough. Pogo Hopper will finally be a thing. This can also mean a lot of tempo remembering that cards like Gadgetzan Auctioneer didnt went into Hall of Fame. Mill Rogue in standard sounds so funny! Shuffling Novice Engineers into your deck lol. Finally Rogue maybe getting some sustain and survivability due shuffling Rush/Lifesteal into the deck. Rogue will still be one of the most aggressive and boardfocused classes in Hearthstone. I really love your ideas.
Sustain? Against an aggro deck shuffling a couple zilliaxs will not be enough my guy. Playing zilliax turn 5 would be a good play against board focused aggro decks but wasting turn 6 to shuffle at 6 zilliaxs (assuming you kept the scheme in your mulligan) instead of vanishing or clearing the board is not “good sustain” or “survivable”. The scheme wouldn’t fit into aggro rogue either because aggro decks aim to win turn 5-7 not turn 18 which when the scheme will really have any effect against control. It just doesn’t fit with their game plan.
ok zilliax is the epic version of antique healbot. with a bit more board pressence. It is good if you want to control the match and rogues don;t have much control options, despite the fact that sap and vanish are the best removal spells in the game that rogues get them for free.
Its flexibillity is the key to this card. Since many control decks have great cards that can win them the late game. And you can coppy your oponents cards as well. If it is a minion you can enshure good card draw as rogue. And witchwood piper is universal even if you are not a rogue. Imagine shuffling 5 shirvalas into your spell heavy deck. Double vanish is 12 mana in any case. or you can shuffle mountain giants or 10 of something. I mean this is the place where the ballance comes since adding so many of a single card makes you deck very inconsistent. On the other hand it makes your deck instant control deck and you get to instant win the fatigue. or when you and your oponents are deep into fatigue and he is hoarding some big minion you can copy 10 doomsayers and have the board for 10 turns into a deep fatigue.
In any case just lik ewith gang up its usefull againts control, It does not help rogues with the healing but you can make great use of it if you play it smart.
Disappointed. How much play did Gang Up! see? How much play did Lab Recruiter see? Getting tired of seeing the same failed idea reused ad nauseam. At least wait until Lab Recruiter rotates out, for the love of Toggwaggle (one of my favorite cards BTW). 1/5 stars
lol, its like the 10th card revealed and you are mad… you dont even know what synergies will shine, besides that LabRecruiter was only played in 2-3 decks, true. But, its a great card if it gets more supported.
Lab Recruiter is a great card which was given to the wrong class, because they know that Rogue can’t realistically go to the value game. I want it to be good, but it’s kind of difficult in a tempo class with no heal and no armor.
No value game? Espionage is so much value. Its a bit slow, true, but there are ways to play this at high level. Guess Rogue is known for copy/shuffle/steal something. So Lab Recruiter fitting really well into Rogue. But like i said, it needs more support in the future to become good and consistent.
Espionage is a meme card (tbh I thought it would be good but… there’s a difference between putting cards in hand and having to draw them). The support for Rogue to go for the value game is Healing and Armor, which Rogue will never get because of class identity.

That’s a good point. Still, Rogue can’t realistically go to the value game. Seance for Priest had the added benefit of being able to target your minion instead of only an opponent’s minion, like Convert. Did that make Seance playable? Not one bit.
Don’t dis the lab recruiter I used him to tag zilliax often. One weakpoint to rogue was not many involved healing cards tag a zilliax with recruiter and gave 3 usefully top deck cards. It’s not like rogue is lacking for draw power to pull them out.
I’m not saying Lab Recruiter is useless, it does have its niche, but it’s in the wrong class. Getting several Zilliax is good, but it’s better if you’re beating up your opponent rather than being on the backfoot.

You know with all these deck filling cards I might even consider making a hakkar rogue deck just buff up your deck count after it dies and go from there. Of course this is talking of being a meme deck, but I’d still do it don’t like playing the cheap decks anyway where’s the fun in being just another top tier deck copier.

Going to try to make a slow control ish rogue get hakkar to load in the blood then just flood deck with cards of course there’s another thing hakkar rogue can do. Play hakkar followed by a Mira and you can burn your blood on next draw. That 7 cost panderan has board flood and have plenty of cards to build a deck back. Of course this is for the memes.
The type of deck that would use this (with Pogo Hopper, as others have pointed out) would be very strong vs. Control decks, and very weak vs. Aggro and Combo decks. This sounds like a losing proposition. 2/5

Seance is on some steroids right about now.
I mean, sure, this card does seem rather exciting, but the sort of decks that will use this as part of a win condition will be easily preyed upon by aggressive decks.
I know this can be played in the same turn as Myra’s Unstable Element and a Pogo Hopper in the same turn, but other than trying to out value a control deck and recreate Jade Druid as a result, it won’t really do a whole lot in Standard.
Of course, it could also do something with Chief Nomi, but, again, such a strategy would quite easily be weeded out of viability by aggressive leaning decks.
I would think you would run Unstable Element, Pogo, Chef Nomi, Academic Espionage, Sprint and this with an aggro package. You create pressure early with the aggro build, tempo out with unstable and Nomi, then continually put pressure while maintaining long term viability with this, Academic Espionage and Sprint.
I would rather make my deck lean heavily into the aggressive or the control role rather than having a watered down mixture of both. Midrange may exists, but the best midrange decks simply play the best cards in a vacuum with little concern over synergies between cards like Even Paladin right now.
Midrange Hunter may be able to efficiently shift into a control/value oriented right now, but Deathstalker Rexxar is only one card in the deck rather than almost a full third.
I am not convinced at all a Tempo Rogue playing Myra’s Unstable Element would then actively use this and Chef Nomi as a win condition when Leeroy and double Eviscerate will be able to close out games in one turn rather than having to wait.

Just the fact its 1 mana makes it a good combo activator. And its interesting because the longer you have it in your hand the worse it gets depending on the deck you are running. You don’t want to shuffle a bunch of filler cards in your deck for no reason.
It most likely will become part of some kind of combo.

If you use process of elimination, you could be right. It doesn’t really guarantee him being a hero though.

Oh Rogue, can’t you play with the toys you already have? Why, just look at poor Lab Recruiter gathering dust on the shelf!
You can use this to yank your opponent’s powerful lategame minions, freeing up your deck to curve lower. If you snag a good Class minion you can even plan on resummoning em with Tess. Casting this on Zilliax will probably get a concede from Aggro. Those are the sorts of uses that come to mind, and they’re nice and all, but ultimately I have a hard time imagining why you’d NEED to use this card. Academic Espionage and Lab Recruiter taught us that Rogue usually has better things to do than play Value games. But it’s entirely possible that a weird combo or psynergy will make shuffle-clones a thing you really want to do. (Bless your heart, Pogo-Hopper ????➰)

Who said you can’t draw cards afterwards…? Even just having a sprint to play the turn after likely leaves you with a few 7 mana 42/42s. Not saying it’s great, but you’re clearly missing the point of the original comment.
Read Nomi card again. If you have another Chief Nomi in your deck the battlecry don’t trigger…
