Weaker than Kobold, Goblin and Ethereal lackeys. Stronger than Witchy. Roughly even with Faceless. Since it’s in the bottom half, I give it 2/5.
It’s a “1 Mana 1/3 with Taunt”, Boy is it still going to see play regardless, especially since it’s also going to buff Mech Paladin as one of the many examples. Unlike the other Lackeys where you have either Responses or Resources, This Lackey is planning more for a Defensive Structure instead of Responding to attack back. I legit thought that this was a card at first, up until I saw that this was a Lackey. But it’s still going to see a lot of play, even if you don’t want it.
It’s Easily 4 Stars, just because I feel that Half of the time, I see the Tinkering Lackey only giving a minion +1 Attack, where at the Titanic Lackey doesn’t waste your time, but yet most of the other lackeys give of a responsive reward for you.
Who is joining the league of evil? did they say?
I somehow thought they would replace the old Lackeys with new ones but it seems like they only add new ones.
Now i want a control oriented lackey generator on warlock
I think this is probably the least powerful of the lackeys
Then you’re greatly underestimating what this lackey can do, taunt is one thing but +2 health is huge.
Especially taking into account that you can force opponent to deal with another minion like in mage you could put taunt on a minion while you have splitting image secret up. That would give you 2 minions with plus 2 health and taunt compared to say attacking a weaker minion first to test for secret. This is also able to force opponent to attack something like a death rattle minion that only triggered if killed on opponents turn.
But mage isn’t the lackey class. This lackey is actually nice though adding a lackey spoils the aggro gameplan a bit – which is fine by me.
You could not be more mistaken.
I’d say he goes in a pretty diferent direction compared to the other lackeys. Most of them (except maybe the witchy lackey) fit more into zoo/aggro, but this one fits better in control.
This is great because now shaman and warriors can use lackeys in more control-ish decks and be even more defensive
Ouch and this is a new possible lackey RNG it works rather well with several lackey generators since you could play them and make them a taunt with 2 more health. It’s both better and worse than some others. Transformation lackey is beaten out for a zoolock deck. Since transforming cheap minions can backfire.warlock could get this after legendary with the double generator and drop a 4/6 taunt and a 4/4 for 2 Mana.
Come at me if I’m wrong but being the only defensive lackey now, it could actually HURT the lackey mechanic for every deck who currently uses lackeys. For aggro/tempo decks, +2 and taunt is not as good as the others.
That being said, this allows the lackey mechanic to be utilized in other archetype variants. One I believe being control warlock with their new legendary.
The transformation lackey is worse 1 it needs a friendly minion for it’s battlecry and 2 the RNG of what a low cost minion can turn into can suck. How would you like the mage spirit coming out when your not a mage
Yes it is traditionally the least wanted, but it more often than not still builds your board state in a tempo deck. It is still an offensive play and not a defensive one, so my statement is still true.
Just stating this can at least turn a lackey generator into a wall for say rogue to use with combo generator. Make it a taunt, lackey still on board drop Togwaggle get a treasure and still have the lackey in hand doable on a curve. Otherwise a simple poke would remove the lackey and have to wait for turn 7.
Is this a new lackey? If so holy crap is that good, I feel like this can be a bit too good even.. Rogue finally gets something to technically protect itself a little bit. Really scary with zoolock too, yikes.
