It’s sad this quest is not viable at all…they could fix it by changing the casting cost to zero..as I think all quests should be…you are already at a disadvantage just by the fact that the quest is taking up one of your starting cards…making you then pay mana is retarded… c’mon blizzard wtf..think a little for a change..
This will be this first card I unpack.
Lifecoach told HS not to print this card.
Saying 50/50 it’s either useless or it is too strong and destroys the meta making every other deck useless.
I already see the Trolden video coming – Hunter just finished the quest, puts out Carnassa, now has all the little brood in the deck. Enemy beast druid Mulches her, Hunter gets Hemet, Jungle Hunter and, thinking of Hemet Nasingwary and trying to kill the enemy’s Stalking Tiger, accidentally shreds his entire deck.
Can we talk about how putting one weasel Tunneler and full control cards into your deck will eventually have you fatigue with only weasel tunneler left and then you complete the quest and fill your deck with raptors and win the game?
Yeah sure, in just an average of 20 turns and if your oponent is dumb enough to play your weasel tunneler back knowing that you have the quest.
a control card for hunter. rat pack and infested wolf’s DR can complete this quest or spells like on the hunt, unleash the hounds and snake trap could do it for you.
sorry misread the quest. it says “play” not summoned
I’m so gonna make a Mill Fatigue Hunter with this..
(i know, i know, its probably wont work, but its gonna be fun!)
Theoreticly the quest can be easily coutered by mana wraith or nerubar weblord.
Weblord is wild only, and mana wraith dies so easily. As well as “I’ll just wait and kill it” while also screwing your mana cost, as well as just being a really slow card and a very VERY specific counter, I wouldn’t exactly call that “easy” theoretically or not
But what if 1 mana creature has its cost increased by mana wraith/freezing trap/nerubar weblord or its cost reduced by pint-sized summoner/shadowstep or any other cards that change mana cost of minion, does it count as 1 mana for the quest? Or the opposit what if non 1 mana minion gets reduced/increased to 1 mana?
Same as Medivs staff, I can’t remember the name, or summoning stone, it’ll be the printed mana cost currently on the card
Also wonder do non 1 mana cards that were reduced to 1 mana by Emperor Taurisan count as 1 drop?
Emp ;_;
Seems like I’m gonna be one of few that thinks this is terrible card. Filling your deck with 1 drops doesnt put any pressure and when u complete quest on turn 7-8 you will have half deck of no-draw 1 drops, so you play on turn 9 onwards 3-2 + 1-drop on average which seems week. And even if u get lucky and play like 4 or 5 cards in 1 turn you just get aoe’d. Also quick shot is rotating out…..
Then you don’t put this in an aggro deck. You put in in some weird combo fatigue hunter with a bowl-shaped curve and complete this quest later in the game.
The quest itself is absolutely incredible. The question is whether or not hunter can make a good deck around it.
You can finish the quest on turn 4 and play the Queen on 5.
You just put the new Hemet in your deck ;D
Priest has the weakest Quest imho
Doesn’t this kill control? I mean, it’s hard to out value 15 raptors… just killing them is hard enough
Do creatures that were transformed from Shifter Zerus count as 1 drop?
Good question, we might need the site owner for this
You spend the mana of the card Zerus shifts into. So it wouldnt count as a 1 cost card.
I know, but the card played from Zerus has its animation, also in a battle log it is listed as Zerus.
I believe that mechainic has creature transformed when its played but not when its in hand. So when you played creature from Zerus you pay 1 and transformation takes cost of the creature-1 mana.
Hunter Deck: This Quest + 29 1-drops
Turn 1: Quest
Turn 2: 1-drop + 1-drop
Turn 3: 1-drop + 1-drop + 1-drop
Turn 4: 1-drop
Turn 5: 1-drop
Turn 6: Queen Carnassa + 1-drop
Turn 7+: 1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop1-drop etc…
BUT!!!
If one of the first SIX DRAWN 1-drops is the new Elemental card ‘Fire Fly’ whose Battlecry adds another 1-drop to your hand…
You could play TWO 1-drops on Turn 4, leading to a Turn 5 Queen Carnassa.
When will people realize that you can’t just stuff a million 1-drops in the deck and expect this to work? Even if you complete the quest super early, your deck will be full of 3/2s and crappy cards and will he outvalued by your opponents.
This is not an aggro card. I repeat, THIS IS NOT AN AGGRO CARD.
Now i just want to play hunter just because of that card, i mean just LOOK at that card… Hoooly mooly +15 3/2 beast for only 1 mana and on top of that each draw a card for you…. that thing is.. just… blows my mind
and yeah + a 5 mana 8/8 huge huge dinosaur (which probably got removed my a hardremoval but who cares because of the RAPTORS) aamm yeah.. well… I’m hyped… just opinions… bye 😀
Hound master always has a target now
This card is terrifying. it will be hard to play out 7 1/1’s by turn 5. realistically this will be completed around turn 7, i would asume tol’vir warden would be beneficial to this. drawing 2 1/1’s on turn 5. but after putting down a 5 cost 8/8, that then gives you 15 3/2’s in your deck that draw is terrifying. in an ideal world you could literally flood your board, get it cleared and reflood it next turn
Not if the first card you draw after playing Carnassa is a shitty 1-drop. Then you’re screwed. Completing this quest in the early game should not be the goal unless you can do it in a midrange deck and still have super high-value cards like King Dred(Carnassa is his Waifu), Highmane, COTW, Tundra Rhink, and maybe even N’Zoth.
And the Quest cards continue to be great (except Valeera’s Quest). This one is obviously zoo-oriented, but the little guys that spawn from Queen Carnassa are really strong, 1-mana 3/2 + card draw is potentially insane. I really like this card and I can’t wait to try it.
Ah, hindsight is 20/20.
In actuality Valeera’s Quest is beyond broken and only it and Warrior’s see’s any real play, with the occasional Mage.
I do like the Queen’s Marsh quest. Though it’s a pain to get it to work. Like most Hearthstone decks the biggest nail in the coffin is consistency.
Where’s King Mosh, though?
Called it.
OTK Hunter incoming??
People forgetting there is allso fire Fly and Tol’vir Warden. I mean you can play hunter super agressive with your 1 drops, and not run out of steam in the late game because of this quest. Yes Fire Fly aint so great in agressive decks, but either you buff them or combo them with knife jugler like hunters did in the past.
I really think this can work. The reward is powerfull enough to make a deck arround. Maybe even the strongest reward we have seen? I mean the dream is that the raptors just continuely draw themselfs until you fill your board for 7 mana.
does alley cat count as two one drops?
No. Alley cat SUMMONS another cat, but you need to PLAY seven 1-mana minions…
that’s what I thought
this is going to be great!
as long as we get some decent one drops
i d say it s bad… forces you to play a zoo like deck, without the draw of power of warlock. Then again, after you finish the quest, if somehow you manage, the 15 raptors are gonna be late. It takes way too long to get the value out of the quest and hunters won t last enough to even see a raptor be drawn. Even then, a control deck will have 1 or 2 board clears giving them enough time to shut you down. I honestly don t think it s anywhere close to good, but i guess we ll just have to wait and see.
U have card wich can fish from deck for 1 mana minions wich can help u fuel yourself
its not for agrro somethig Midrange
i really hope so, although i m not confident that this will save hunter
Tundra rhino with the Carnassa’s Broods is good though, just saying…
huh a lots of small beasts?
Rhino deck wich just swarm you with them early and late game
Now just gimme good one drops for hunter
woah
Right, i havent played hunter since vanilla but man does this make me want to take it for a spin
