i just went 6/1 with a deck built around this… its actually not that bad, yes you have to manage your life but there is plenty of lifesteal and gain if you play it right

Now that the other cards have been revealed… I’m 100% positive that this card will not see competitive play.

Depending on how much support this form of no-deck-warlock gets.

    could Darkspear Berserker see play?

Given the interaction with fatigue, this might well be the mechathun-esque win condition I originally predicted no-deck-lock would need, especially since you can’t accidentally burn it. Time will tell whether it’s powerful enough though, and whether Warlock has sufficient survival tools to make this work.

Hmm well many card that take health to play also give good effect and besides the heal effects that already exist two strong neutral healing minions is already revealed this expansion. So it sounds promising.

Warlock need more access to healing if this going to work.
Sure, Fragments could help, but Hunter/D.Hunter still aggro will prove to be difficult to maintain low health in the long run. Whats more, dealing 21 damage on your turn gonna take as far as turn 10.

Good for Warlock getting some win condition after all this.

fragments will definitely wont be played with this quest. Some lifesteal is from quest itself, u have reliable health restore from Spice bread baker, or even that new dormant flight card. And also great lifesteal giving demon. The deck will require some skill i believe to manage your life at nonlethal level.

I could see this being a necessity to a Delete Warlock variant that adds soul shards into the mix. There is a lot of health regeneration via minions and spells to recover from damage. In fatigue though this quest is deadly, just drop backfire and you instantly do 3 damage +1 +2 +3 which is 9 damage with a 3 mana card. If you decided to save both backfires you can do (3 damage +1 +2 +3 (9) & (3 damage +4 +5 +6 (18) to do a total of 27 damage. That’s going to be OTK most of the time especially if you’ve been hammering away with Jarraxxus.

One drawback is that you’re often going to use backfires to draw out your deck but with a exhaust otk people might even copy tickatus just to self fatigue once you have the combo pieces. I really feel excited about this card because it adds an interesting twist to the possibility of the delete warlock deck type.

This is quest for Sealer of Souls (https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/cards/stealer-of-souls/)
Probably we will see the OTK deck:)

Too damn slow, by the time you’ve dealt 21 damage to yourself, you are likely out of gas. Maybe it’d be playable with infinite Envoy?

Thats a nah from me dawg. Most warlock quests things at least give you 3/2 imp portals that provide infinite value. This just makes you sad and dead.

So you effectively need to deal 21 damage towards yourself, and you gain 6 Health Back and a Minion. You are forced to use as many Soul Shards as possible as well as some of the Restore Health Cards as well if you ever want to stand a chance of using The Demon Seed.

We’ll see how actually Strong Seed is, because this is an Inimitating card that you want to use, even for Warlock. 2 Stars.
