Gonna see this card as much as shredder i feel like
Great card, this combined with Tol’Vir is some serious early game control. Also combined with the new powerful Priest, Pally & Warlock taunts Black Knight might actually become a staple control card again.
Cool arena card
Tar is an element but not shadow or void. Feelsadman
But with only one damage when attacking, couldn’t they just, you know, ignore it?
I’m a fool
oh yay, another taunt that will be run in every aggro deck to prevent efficient trading
But this is an anti-aggro card. Because when you are attacking it only has 1 attack.
Not necessarily. Agro decks can run this card to protect their damage dealers. Its already pretty bad if you have to trade into agro cards after they go face, its worse if you cant remove them at all because there is a ridiculous taunt in the way. Still, this is far more likely to show up in control or mid range than agro.
I get that a 0 mana 3/3 Pirate with taunt is efficient to be run in most (not all) Pirate Warrior decks, and 0 mana 5/5 with taunt is efficient enough to be run in *some* aggressive Shaman lists. I’m not sure a 3 mana 3/5 taunt that effectively cannot attack will be used in either deck, especially since it has no synergy outside of an elemental deck (which would be purely midrange curvestone, maybe control).
I seriously doubt that many aggro decks (if any) even would run Sen’Jin Shieldmasta if it’s mana cost was reduced by 1, and this card is of course much weaker than that. The only taunts we’re seeing run right now by aggro usually cost 0-1 mana and are extremely efficient for their cost. Tar Creeper is not remotely similar to these.
Esto mas los provocares de sacerdote haran que se vuelvan a jugar silencios.
really good card! should be a staple in several control decks.
The original art for this card on the website was so much better and menacing looking. Pretty disappointed in the goofy blob head they replaced the original art for. Still a neat card though!
Maybe that was an other tar elemental we are going to see soon 🙂
I like that it’s a tar elemental… because it may slow down the meta
I’d like to know what elemental synergy we’re going to get
And here there’s the super anti-aggro minion.
great Card vs aggro, will definetly use this in my lovelvy priest decks
You almost get to say this but that is an intelligently designed control card. Will it be enough. Well Warlock got 11 stats on a four drop that can protect and synergies with Malchazaars Imp as well as permanent unkillable imp swarm. Hearthstone = Aggro always wins.
“Aggro” usually means “kill your opponent by turn 7 or 8 at the latest.” We will see if these “Aggro” decks run 3/8 Taunt minions and a Quest that takes a considerable amount of cards in return for a 5 mana spell with no immediate impact.
Cool card and art 😀
