Supercollider Card Review
Very cool concept, but seems a little bit too expensive for what it does. Let’s start with the upsides, before proceeding to the downsides.
A weapon can clear up to 6 big minions over 3 turns, which is massive for a 5 mana weapon. It works like 3x Sudden Betrayal on demand. A minion attacking minion means that BOTH take damage, so if your opponent has two 5/5’s and you hit one, both die. That’s really good.
It has some neat synergies. Like, if your opponent has Poisonous minion and you attack it, it can kill anything. On top of that, you can also GIVE your opponent a poisonous minion through Marsh Drake – have a 5/4 yourself and give them a small Poisonous. That said, I don’t believe you will be able to ATTACK the 2/1 and get value, since it will just die and the weapon triggers AFTER attack. But if he has only a single minion on the board, you can guarantee that both are cleared. Maybe we’ll see more synergies in this expansion too.
First of all, the attack value. Yes, it’s pretty irrelevant when you attack minions, but it means that you can’t really use it to push some face damage, which is important even in Control decks. Gorehowl is a Control card, but it can still be used to deal 7 if necessary.
Second, your opponent needs to have at least two minions on the board. Against a single minion, it just doesn’t work – it deals 1 damage and it has nothing to attack. If you’re playing let’s say a Control vs Midrange matchup, your opponent will commonly have only 1 minion on the board, since you’re actively trying to remove them.
Third, in order to get maximum value, you want to use it against mid-sized and/or big minions to attack other mid-sized and/or big minions. Not only that kind of board won’t happen that often, but it will cost you lots of life to hit those minions.
Fourth, it’s random. If you attack a minion, which has two minions next to it, it will be a 50/50 – a very common 50/50 and often a big one.
Fifth, your opponent will be able to play around it with positioning, let’s say by putting a small minion between big minions. You might still be able to go around that by first removing the small minion with another spell, but such positioning tricks might be harder to play around on a slightly bigger boards (like putting biggest minions on the sides, with 2-3 smaller ones in the middle).
So, as you can see, the weapon seems to have more downsides than upsides. I really don’t think that a regular Warrior deck will want to run it. It might be tried out in an Odd Warrior, since the deck can overcome some of the issues more easily and it has a lower bar for what a good card is (since it doesn’t have access to some solid options). But overall, it looks rather weak. Not completely unplayable, but I doubt that we will see it very often.
Card rating: 3/10
Really dont know what to think about this card hahaha situationaly this is good and bad..not consistant enough to see play in constructed IMO, but we will see that.
Card design looks too big for the weapon to be just 1/3. Will work favourably in my control warrior, but may lack potential in other areas
Well its competition is gorehoul. And gorehoul got suport card that can give you a potential of 7 dmg board clear. It makes more sence to be in paladin. Since they are the hammer type of class. Its obviously a mech version of light’s justice. I am not shure what it is doing in warrior. Voodo doll is more reliable with scourgelord. Taking face dmg is not that cool with warrior anymore since warrior kinda transforms his armor gain into dps these days. Betrayal is much cheeper and you avoid the face dmg. The plus side are the 3 charges but when people see you use it the first time its very easy po play around. Bad card overal. Epic cards should do much more than give you free dust.
I don’t think its a bad weapon, but it is a situational weapon. That you might take a lot of damage using it can be countered with armor. I think this weapon might be pretty good in wild, where there are more cards that can help you gain armor. It doesn’t really need big targets either. And its 1 point of damage can ensure a minion dying from attacking its neighbor, in some cases it can insure both die if one had 1hp to many.
Its not a superb weapon, its not a standard format meta-making weapon, but it is an ok weapon that may see use in Wild. I can see myself having one in my wild warrior deck, and that doesn’t even build that much armor.
Author gives 3/10. Voting is 3/5.
I would give it 5/5 in a midrange meta but obviously it’s not great against face/burn or combo decks.
Why is warrior getting such bad cards?! they have been the least popular since pirate warrior died.
Warrior needs to atone for its sins. They won’t see a good deck for a while, just like Shaman was screwed after their midrange deck went to wild.
I agree, this card is not very good…it could be helpful here and there, but if we are all being honest, Warrior doesn’t need this when they have a lot of other better removal cards.
This card is ass

This is a bad card. Sure, the first swing you can destroy one or two minions. And then the opponent will play around it for the next two charges. If the card ever becomes popular, people will always play around it. It’s really only useful for the first swing. It would be much better as a 3 mana 1/2. Also, Warrior can’t have another weapon equipped and you’re still taking a lot of face damage. 2/5 stars.
Mehh not good

Warrior gets garbage epics again?
At this rate Garrosh will never climb out of dumpster tiers
So, what interests me about this card is that it seems to be better than Betrayl. Notice, it doesn’t say “Deal damage to one of its neighbors” it says “Attack one of its neighbors”. So wouldn’t that mean they deal damage to each other? Then there’s the wording on the rest of the card, “After you attack a minion, force it to attack one of it’s neighbors.” Force implies that there is some choice, that you get to choose which side you swing the weapon in from. If that is the case, this could be an incredibly powerful removal tool. If it is a randomly selected neighbor then, it’s still decent but not great. Will have to wait and see an example of it in action.
Eh… Just saw the video, doesn’t look you get to choose…
No s***. Wishful thinking there.
Wonderful flavor, but as a control card I do not think this is as good if not better than Blood Razor. It it had the full on Betrayal effect instead of a half version of the card that costs health to use but can be used three times.
It can make it so clearing minions with high attack is less costly on your health total, but at the same time, it can often hit the wrong minion. It’s like a worse brawl in that respect.
The only deck this could see play in would be a control Warrior styled deck and I don’t think this is better than the tools Warrior already has.
As a big fan of control warrior i assure you, this thing will be used a fair bit. Surely not as widespread as Blood Razor these days, but if the meta changes a bit…
In the current meta there is one area i could see this used. If you are getting bodied by recruit hunter i could see it but very often right now the minions have big bodies low attack. So forcing them into each other is unlikely to clear both or even one.
It is not great vs even warlock because they are putting 8/8s out on 3 or 4 you having to attack into it with your 5 mana weapon is not great to clear it. Maybe if you face spell hunter this is good because it clears 2 spellstone wolves with 1 attack on an equal cost. But it doesnt feel great
Maybe i’m biased towards this card since it has a MAGNI HAMMER ANIMATION I’LL TAKE 2
not likely be played in constructed, arena maybe…
Could see some play , 5 mana seems resonable , think of this card like the warrior DK , but with more random results based on what ur oponent is playing , on avarage I think it should be ok
I… don’t know about this card. it seems a bit expensive, but the effect is powerful. I don’t think we will really know how good this is until we see it in action
one of its neighbours?! which one?!
It should be both
Reminds me of Ice Breaker. You potentially remove a big target, but taking a fukton of damage.
The flavor of this is actually hilarious. You hit one so hard that it slams into a minion next to it.
Can be real annoying I think ?
too slow.
