I shuffle an even larger dino… okay less reliable than jade statue but better than dire mole that did saw play. 1/3 for 1 with an upside, yes please.

I don’t really get the hate for this card. It’s a 1 mana 1/3 Beast, which is great on curve, and then when you top deck it later (after it dies), it’s a 3/4, and then a 4/6, and so on.

1 mana 1/3s are historically very good in Standard; 1 mana Beasts are generally good in Hunter; a 1/3 Beast in Hunter has always been good, and this is better than previously comparable minions.

I see zero reason why this isn’t a 4-4.5 star card. Combines with Skill Command well, plus provides early tempo with a lot of value.

EDIT: It goes from 1/3 to 3/4 to 5/5 to 7/6 etc.
My bad math doesn’t change my evaluation.

Mehhhh… I mean, unless we’re getting a new 2 mana synergy kind of beast like Crackling Razormaw this expansion, I don’t think the beast tag is very relevant, at least for turn 1.

Also, the statline is honestly pretty mediocre. 1/3s aren’t groundbreakingly overpowered anymore, not when you could run battlemage as your 1 drop.

I guess this would find a decent amount of play in hunter decks in general, but it won’t be as powerful as Dire Mole was back in the day.

I’m about to be controversial. 1 star. I just don’t see the deck that wants to have a 1 mana 1/3 that MAY gain a buff. It’s just wayyy too slow overall and is a worse pogo hopper.

It’s a 1/3 beast which against most classes WILL get the buff. Any hunter deck will probably run this purely because 1 mana 1/3s with upside and tribal tags are usually very good and very versatile.

The Pogo comp doesn’t fit in my opinion. Pogo was a 1 mana 1/1 that you needed to play other cards to make it big, and it was just too slow to get pogo to work. This card is a standalone card that triggers itself and isn’t meant to be a win condition but just a strong tempo play w/value attached.

I do see Sunscale Raptor to be a good card for something like Hunter. This may even give off a nice reference to Carnassa’s Brood or the Raptor Hatchling back in Un’Goro. It’s a nice 1/3, and I think I can see it being used. Plus, Having this being permanently handbuffed, show potential for meme power Sunscale Raptor could really have.

    4 Stars.

It hasn’t got rush and also it will be harder for it to survive damage as the game goes on.

This is insane!! Trust me this means tons of hunter builds that run:

    2 x Sunscale Raptor
    2 x Wolpertinger
    2 Scavenger’s Ingenuity

And no other beasts. This makes Scavenger’s Ingenuity extremely strong. Either 6/6 stars or 3/5 with upside on turn 3.

Can the copy trigger the frenzy again? because if thats the case there is no way this is not one of the best 1 drops in HS history

    Does a 2/4 Raptor shuffle a 3/5 raptor?
