At first I thought that it’s pretty underwhelming, but then I’ve realized that it might not be the case after all. Of course, you want to play this in a deck which runs only the biggest Beast cards you can imagine, like 7+ mana, with Witchwood Grizzly probably being the only exception (because summoning it is not that bad, since it keeps full stats).
My initial problem with this card was that it’s 2 for 1 – you use two cards to get one body on the board. But then I’ve realized that you can basically use it like a kind of Innervate, even better one in some cases. The best case scenario is pulling a Tyrantus – it’s like gaining 4 extra mana that way. Assuming you’ve played Wild Growth, you can get a 12/12 with Rush on T5, something that’s absolutely insane in pretty much every matchup. Even pulling Oondasta which would pull another minion can be a huge board swing in your favor.
Even the Ironhide Direhorn from Rumble seemed pretty underwhelming at first, but if you could pull it for 6 mana AND give it Rush, then you’re nearly guaranteed to create an extra 5/5 after trading into something.
And the best thing is that the card disadvantage can be quite easily negated in Druid thanks to Ultimate Infestation, that’s why I believe that at least until UI rotates out, this card would see play in such an archetype (assuming it will work).
The deck’s concept still seems pretty janky, but I honestly think that it has some potential.
Technically, it could also be used as a Hadronox activator in Taunt Druid, although your opponent would need a 7+ Attack minion you could run into immediately.

Big Beast Druid could finally be a worthy deck. Not only is Druid getting good tools this expansion. There is still Witching Hour. Witching Hour has been used pretty much only for Hadronox competitively, but if you ramp into this and this pulls Tyrantus, then you can summon more Tyrantus for 3 mana with Witching Hour. Can’t tell if that deck will be better than the other tried and tested T1-T2 Druid decks in the meta, but I will definitely try Big Beast Druid.
Juicy Psychmelon to draw Tyrantus out of your deck then this card. Tyrantus with Rush on Turn 4-5.
Time to smash some kids with real beasts and not those pups and kittens that hunter uses .
Great card.I see a new druid deck coming out of this and be actually competitive.U can rush ur opponent earlier with 8 and 9 drops + u can empty ur hand faster for a potential ui.Witching hour could help a lot this deck but i dont know if it would be good enought to replace spreading plague.Maybe u could run a grizzly to revive so u cant die or maybe it could survive aggro with 3/24 grizzlys with the other new beast synergy card!

Stampeding Roar can be a lot of decent things, but making Big Beast Druid workable probably won’t be easy. While the card advantage this will generate will typically be even by the time the beast summoned by this dies, but it seems like the current direction Druid is going in will continue to be better than the play style promoted by the beast support seen thus far.
I’m personally lukewarm on this card. Maybe the rotation will need to happen before this Beast Druid deck works out.

Love this card, exactly what I needed.
Tyrantus with Rush is worth it
Charged Devilsaur with Charge is worth it (I don’t think the Rush overrides Charge, yeah?)
Oondasta 2 turns early is worth it
Hadronox you can kill without Naturalize is worth it (you can also get it out early, but I imagine you’ll wanna wait until after your Oakheart/Lich King turns)
Even a fullhealth Witchwood Grizzly is worth it
And you can revive any of ’em with Witching Hour, or start cloning them with Faceless Manipulator, Carnivorous Cube, Goop Sprayer… Big beast Druid looks perfectly legit.
Yes, Rush is “Can attack minions this turn” instead of “Charge. Can’t attack heroes this turn”. But the Charge *card* (which is basically the second option) doesn’t make Warsong commander give a +1 attack to the targeted minion anymore… It’s weird, but also offtopic
Easy 4/5 in the right deck
Very nice card for a Big Beast Druid deck, you couldn’t complain about summoning any 8, 9 or 10 mana neutral beasts for 6 mana, let alone with rush, which grants great value even if they get cleared next turn. The sheer ability to get large beasts out early could also make the new 4 cost predatory instincts more viable, given dropping enough big beasts on curve will make most classes run out of hard removal. Throw in witching hour and you might just have a competitive deck depending on if you need spreading plague. Tyrantus might even see a bit of play.
Not to mention Hadronix synergy if you’ve got that deck on the go.

Also, The Anaconda is a beast, you can kill it immediately and get another big minion out of your hand and remove a minion that probably needed to be cleared!

This card doesn’t look very impressive but I feel like it’s going to be better than I’m anticipating. Hopefully the Druid Loa is insane with this!
