Cute idea. But it will see virtually no play.

Totally unplayable in Aggro/Tempo as well as Weapon classes. And while a Control deck might be interested, sacrificing a card in hand and in the deck is probably too big a price to pay for improved draws for a couple of turns..

Didn’t read the text right the first time but the BOTTOM of the deck is too far… Only a superslow control class could run this weapon, maybe to find a good removal or combo piece but this card is so overated. 2/5.

Nah. That just means the card will be harder to play good. If you get too greedy you will be punished later and you know exactly where the cards you shuffle back in will be. Also if you decide to draw the card you will not lose any durability so you can hold onto the weapon for a pretty long time unless it gets countered. Definitely not less than 4 stars. Also almost no neutral legendaries are viable for every single class or archetype. Just having options sometimes is very nice.

Seems a bit overrated. The only decks that would run this are control and combo. Aggro isn’t sacrificing a card slot for a terrible weapon to get slightly better draws and they have to sacrifice 1 mana. Control might run this, but this is just too slow for the meta we are in right now. I think some Control decks will play it, but the majority won’t. 3 stars.

Just a really solid card. Sure ooze can counter it early on but what do you really loose. A 1 mana weapon? Very little risk and can give you a perfect start. Definitely 5 stars.

nerf ooze to 3 mana and i promise to craft this..

Unique effect but might only be good in a combo deck. It costs a card which is a big deal fo any aggro or midrange deck.

This is MUCH Better. Just put all the Lowest Cost Cards (Usually) at the Back.
I think EVERY single Control deck out there would want to use Sphere of Sapience for when the time is roughly right for time, becuase a lot of the time, you want to least say draw a shadowstep or EVIL Miscreant but you can see yourself Drawing Phroah Cat instead.

This is a really awesome card to cheat your way to making your deck cleaner for card draw.
    A deserved 5 Stars.

What a fun card! It’s really tough to say how good it is or who will run it. I feel like it could be run in a lot of decks that have a few insane cards that drive win rate. You essentially can spend 1 mana to dig through 4 additional cards searching for your top cards and ensure you draw them much sooner + more consistently.

Does this effect go off before you draw or after becuase that changes its value alot

Still remember, card draw is more valuable then wasting a card (as a weapon) to pick what you will draw.

Wow this card has good value won’t be used by any decks running weapons but it has value if say you were searching for specific cards or some things would just be dead in hand at the time of draw. I don’t think you’d want to have most 8-10 cost cards drawn into hand during turn 2 especially if you had a way to tutor it or extras in deck. You also had some decks like the wrath pally where knowing exactly where shirvallah was in deck would be useful so you could pop wrath with more confidence in late game.

It’s fun! A card for control decks that won’t play a one-drop otherwise, or maaaaybe decks like Spell Mage or Phaoris Paladin that want to maximize drawing very specific payoff cards.

Not always an auto-include if your deck runs other weapons or if your draw isn’t the best. Also an Ooze target if the meta is still calling for it (it is right now).

Really nice card. There are many interesting tools in this set to interact with the deck and hand. In my opinion, thats what HS needed.
However, to keep things healthy, all classes/archetypes should have some responses to these kind of effects. For instance, we have oozes and Harrison Jones for this one.
Finally, theorycrafting/deckbuilding are what I like the most in card games! In a 30-card deck, the challenge would be what cards to sacrifice in order to include the new interactive tools.

Also consider this as a tech card against Bomb Warrior.

or for that matter, against anything the other player shuffles into your deck that harms you when it is drawn.

Or if you want to draw more Yser dragons, you could skip the non-dragon cards.

So at the start of your turn you look at what you are gonna draw and you can go “oh hell no” and shuffle it all the way down on the bottom on your deck? That sounds interesting!

For the Rating: I think Weapon Classes and attack classes dont want to use this most of the time (Hunter, Warrior, Paladin, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Druid). Depending on their decks, of course. Especially Quest and Spell Druid might want this over hero power and Libram Paladin can use this Lategame when their weapons are used up and they are looking for Liadrin and Lightforged Crusader.
The non-weapon classes on the other hand only have the “Can I afford to make space in my deck for this” problem. And I think most of the time they have the space. Because those are the classes who get the most out of this. Priest for example doesnt draw and this can prevent you from getting Murozond on 3 or Penance when you need more power like SW:D. Mage suffers from drawing their big spells too early to make use of them and Warlock wants to draw certain cards with their Quest hero power. And since it’s a 1 Drop it is very nice to have this in mulligan for a control deck since it greatly increases the chance you can awnser Aggro with something like Holy Nova or Dark Skies by shuffling back your win conditions.

While this has the risk of not being impactful enough and be a complete whiff, I think it will make it’s way in many control and even midrange decks to improve draw. Therefor, 4 Stars.

So, this is not like “discover a card from ur deck”, it’s more like you can chose not to draw a specific card.

So what this means is that control decks going against aggro, you can refuse cards that are not helpfull right away. So, instead of “seeing” 1 card per turn, you’re “seeing” 2 cards per turns, (because control cant use all their cards before the game is over anyway).

So as control against aggro, it lets you see a much bigger part of your deck before the game is over. It’s only a 1′ off because it’s legendary, meaning you cant build your entire deck around it (and get much greedier because you’ll see a bigger part of your deck).

BUT classes that use weapons already cant use this… Rogue cant use it or lose their hero power. Warrior and paladin cant really either…

Is this usefull as aggro? I really cant tell. Demon hunter cant use it at the very least (it’s going to burn the charges for nothing).

So this can be good in druid, mage, warlock, shaman, priest?

I think it’s better in priest. It’s gona be the only way priest is going to see a bigger part of their deck (right now they can generate cards, they cant draw).

Speaking from experience (in MTG), this effect cannot be underestimated. It can really smooth out your draws helping you dig for the card you need in any given situation. While not for every deck, the decks that want it well really benefit from it.
    4-5 stars for me.
    (Plus twig shenanigans)

I’m really enjoying to see more effects in HS like those in MTG, makes the gameplay more dynamic and unique, too.

It’s so good it’s almost a shame that it’s Neutral and has no requirements whatsoever to be played.

5 stars, period, auto craft for every deck until rotates.
Ok, the only decks that do not want this are those with weapons in their comp.

      July 24, 2020 at 11:24 AM

Eh, not really. Are you sure aggro would rather draw this card instead of drawing a Flame Imp or Battlemage?

I’d rather just fill my deck up with cheap aggressive minions instead of this.

This will finally enable twig to go off early. Pretty scary, maybe a combo deck might want to use or maybe Reno druid

Wait what is this a neutral legendary weapon?

Hearthstone is finally getting a scrying effect, this is pretty awesome! Rule of thumb is that effects like these are always good even if they’re not that noticeable. I’m not sure how significant this is for Hearthstone though, do you want to spend one space in your deck for this? Aside from combo decks probably not.
