(Rating based on play it will see in the upcoming meta, similar to trump’s ratings)

    1 Star (for now)
Will become 2 stars when strong otk decks (like old quest mage or machine gun priest) become viable.

Very hard to rate this early, not enough cards have been revealed. I’ll wait on this one.

This would only be useful in a handful of Mage or Priest matchups.

I think this is some lame desing so they can say to the community that they listened to us and gave us anti combo card. Despite the fact that mally is not the only combo deck in the pool.
Just like snufflestrout knight its not a counter to big priest. I made my shaman deck illed with devolves froggs saronite chain gangx1 and priest on turn 4 had barnes cristaline oracle and lich king. He even shadow visioned for a revive and his 3 revives all gave him lich king.
Good stats but 3 mana cost minions are the minions that have the effects like flappy bird, tahn kentch clan thug, questing adventurer ( a card from the distant past ) . But my point is that those minions win your games if you donlt kill them and they are good aggro plays like darshire councillman etc. its good basic stats. Some sort of effect. Its mainly arena filler card. It does not help againts combo at all. Most wild combost don’t even use target spells.
    Preeety bad, do better blizzvission.

    Cucks:
    Druid (Swipe, Moonfire, Malygos)
    Hunter (Kill Command)
    Mage (Fireball, Frostbolt, Pyroblast)
    Warlock (Soulfire)

    Dosen’t Cuck:
    Priest (Mind Blast)

    Kinda Cucks:
Rouge (Uses Eviscerate, but also has Sinister Strike and Malygos)

Doesn’t Use enough Spells for Finishers for it to count:
    Paladin (Avenging Wrath)
    Shaman (Lightning Bolt)
Warrior (I don’t think he has any spells in general that hit the opponent in the face.)

Overall, I think people just see this card pessimistically because they think that being Elusive for 1 Turn wouldn’t be enough, when in reality for me, I just see it a Neutral Minion version of Time Out of Ice Block. (Expect with Spells Of course.)

I wouldn’t ENTIRELY dust this Card just yet, It actually has some utility potential. Could be useful for whenever you just hate spells to the face in general.

This card is garbage! MalyDruid is dead. And this card only helps against single targeting spells, where you can choose your target. So you are still dead against a Mindblast. Lets see how many combo decks will be there. But against cards like Kalecgos, discovering a Pyroblast good, or a Holy Smite, whatever… 1/5

Spellward Jeweller isn’t meant to win you the game outright against combo decks; this is not Demonic Project. 90% of this card’s value is in the 3/4 body.

Also, the effect isn’t just against combo decks. If your opponent is just short of lethal on board, this battlecry can prevent them from finishing you off with Fireball, Eviscerate or Kill Command.

Totally true! Maybe it buys you some time. And statswise its good too. But it only gives me one turn. I mean it was always hard to predict some starts of some combos, except those who where obvious as hell. Like Cloning Gallery you cant predict most of the time. Old Combos with Twig you might hit with it and the turn you need to win. Maybe 2/5 😛

To bad this wasn’t around during the reign of malygos druid it does have some situational uses against mage to keep out of spell death for a turn but doesn’t stop rng spells wish this was immune for 1 turn.

Finally, a card that says no to pesky throw spells at face decks. This one really has no ratings, it really just depends on how many of those kind of decks are out there

Decent tech card. 3/4 body for 3 mana is great; if Blood Knight and Mind Control Tech can see play, then this card could conceivably see play too, in decks that don’t have Nightmare Amalgam tribal synergies. 3/5.

Now this is a neutral tech card I can get behind, as a sort of situational Time Out effect. While it may not be good enough to see play on ladder, it probably has a home in the specialist format in a secondary or tertiary deck.

Just the card we need for a spell combo heavy meta. But it doesn’t do much against mecha’thun, hakkar, and wall combo. The 3/4 stat line already makes it worth considering.

A lot of the time when playing against say Malygos Druid, I do feel as though I would have won the game if I had just one more turn, and Spellward Jeweler would allow me to live for at least one more turn.

While comparisons to Kobold Monk, a card that never really saw play, are easy to make, the most important difference here is that if the Monk dies, its effect ends while if this dies, its effect continues.

Jeweler may not delay every combo imaginable, it does also handle a large chunk of them and also clutch wins from decks like Tempo Mage. Most combos that don’t include Malygos are rotating out of Standard anyway.

This card will only ever be a tech option, but it should find a place in a format here and there before it rotates.

If Kobold Monk wasn’t playable (in a Meta dominated by Machine Gun Priest, no less!) then I can’t imagine this will be, either. Even if combo decks become really popular, Mojomaster Zihi seems like a better way to tech.

Kobold Monk could also be removed to end the effect and cost one more than this. If anything, this can easily been seen as a neutral Time Out! with a more limited effect but with a 3/4 body.
