This has the EXACT problem discolock had when it was first introduced in that beyond even burning generally good cards, this will inevitably burn the payoff cards.
Sure, this doesn’t kill card advantage like discard does, but for a control oriented deck like this is shaping up to be, you don’t exactly wanna destroy all your cards.
This card needs both a bigger payoff than the deal 6 AND potentially a way to “control” what is being burned to have a chance at seeing play. As is, this is my pick for the worst out of the revealed cards by far.
I feel that we’ll see a payoff card to return burned cards to your hand.. If not this is a very bad card..
This could be good if there are more small deck or destroy synergies.
Thats what I call a price for power
The horrible card of the game so far!
Eeh. It’s fine. If anything, it’s just a Cheaper Deathwing Battlecry, but as a spell. I’m not too sure if Warlocks will go that far, Hey, who knows, maybe it’s just unappetizing at first and then it’s actually not too bad, but, yeah… losing 4-5 cards from 1 spell, dooooosen’t look too good.
I’m gonna give it the middleground and say it’s 3 stars, although I would say to just have 1 trim from Soul Rend.
mini DOOM!
I’m hoping for a Mechathun-style wincon to make these deck-destruction cards worthit. Until then, I remain unconvinced.
