“Control DH” could be a thing? NOOO
It’s fine, but it’s no Doomsayer either.
Now, Granted that maybe you don’t want to kill all minions, but judging from what you were aiming for with Doomsayer; You were forcing your opponent to either no do anything, and just hero power, prepare for the next turn, or it would act as a soft taunt.
With Sigil, it’s not the same. Sure it may look scary with 3 damage to all minions, but you really got the better value for what it’s aiming for when:
1.) already behind
2.) in the early game
or
3.) you have 2 of these to make your own “Doomsayer” that costs 4 mana, but might as well also discard a card since your using 2 cards to make 1 thing.
So the only way I can see this being useful is if you have spell damage, in which, you can surprisingly just use Mini-Mage for that, but it will feel really awkward for a lot of demon hunters, or, in which you are preparing for your exodia or combo strategy.
It’s not a bad card, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just… awkward, to use.
I’m going to give it 3 Stars. I can clearly see myself being scared by Sigil of Flame, but, you would think that you just wouldn’t care anymore once you’ve reached turn 7 or 8 since all your minions would be above.
It’s such an Anti-Aggro/Tempo Card though, so, who knows maybe it’s for Midrange or Control Demon Hunter if that ever becomes a thing.
Point 3. Are you suggesting to use both sigil for 4 mana? Because I don’t think they allowed 2 of the same sigil to be active at once, just like sidequests or secrets.
Yeah, so like, Sigil and Sigil to make your own version of Doomsayer. Hence why I saw 4 Mana, but discard one.
Excellent tempo card vs board-centric decks for anything that doesn’t expect its 1-drop to reach T3 anyway. An especially good fit for slower or combo decks that don’t want to do too much in the first few turns.
Nearly forgot though: near useless in many decks without a consistent 3-mana follow up, although late-game scaling seems decent. Could also be interesting to see what deathrattle cards we get, and control decks may well like this with exploding sheep.
It’s similar to the mage dormant minion to try and play round.
OTK DH – Tier-S.
Mini unstoppable Doomsayer?
