Might be a fairly worthy addition in Highlander Rogue for resource generation. Asides from that, there’s not much to say about this card.

I’d compare it to Commander Rhyssa from RoS. Fairly good card, but its deck archetype was always too weak to be truly relevant.

This has the chance to weave counterspell and autodefense matrix or something like that to keep it alive… and continue disrupting with other secrets… Could on theory just win you a game on chain of good secrets… Only playtest will tell how broken it is

This card seems very promising in standard, I assume that rogue will get at least 2 other secrets (just like in K&C), so it’ll be plenty consistent. I can see this getting out of hand if you chain a couple cheap secrets, and combo those in a gross manner (eg, Repentance+ Snipe) or triggering effects such as that of secret keeper. The best part about this card though is the fact that you get to discover the secret, and it’s not random, that is extremely powerful for it’s low mana cost.

And by the way, why does it say “different” instead of “another”?

Im assuming it says a different instead of another because if you discover a secret off your rogue one and play it, you could then discover a rogue secret off of that one. Hope that makes sense!

The wording could be to keep you from pulling a secret from same class. So if you play a Hunter secret you won’t discover another Hunter secret.

Not to big a deal but it would imply emphasis because *another* was used to stop getting from your own class.

Devs have confirmed that this is the case; playing a hunter secret would generate Rogue, Mage, or Paladin, rogue secrets would generate Hunter, Paladin, Mage, etc.

Its stats are promising, at the very least.

Well now I’m planning out an aggro quest rogue with secrets. This is support for facing other rogues as a quest rogue.

Seems pretty highrolly, but 1/5 is probably going to stick for a turn, so if you get the right secrets, this card could make rogue really disruptive early on. Comment below pointing out that secret keeper is super good with this; that alone could be enough of a win condition since rogue can always just slap on a weapon and Eviscerate for burst.

I’d give this card a 3.5/5 or a 4/5. Definitely needs some support, but discovering secrets from classes with playable secrets can be really strong.

The best thing about discovering secret from other class is that it won’t discover the crappy rogue secret

If you play any discovered secret from a non-rogue class, you might. 😉 Bamboozle isn’t too shabby, btw.

I love the art on this card! Playing with the other class secrets as if they were jewels.

Will try to make this work. Would have to go in a tempo-based rogue list… secret keepers, new one drop with sap/step effect, 2/3 that gains +1/+1 if control secret, etc… however rogue may at best get 3 secrets this expansion… considering there needs to be a density of secrets to work (probably 4-5 in deck?!), not sure how viable a secret based rogue will be. May be more viable in wild with other support.

1/5 is pretty good stats. You can even reasonably expect it to survive on T2, then on T3 play a Rogue secret + a Paladin secret you discover. Tossing out Freezing Traps and Noble Sacrifices and Spellbenders will further protect him, so you can possibly get even more.

That said I have a hard time believing it will discover more than 1 or 2 secrets in the average game, and discovering a secret or two doesn’t seem gamewinning for Rogue in and of itself, especially since it doesn’t cheat them out the way many other cards do. 3/5 unless there’s a big Secret synergy card we’ve yet to see.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a card I wanted more than this one. 5/5, would meme again.

Oh look we lose blink fox but get Burgle Secret Synergy, Quest Rogue gets strange support. Good thing Tess leaves standard otherwise this could be game breaking.

    How is this not 6/5STARS?

Because secret rogue doesn’t really have a game ending play as of now. Just looks gimmicky

Arguably better in Rogue as you need 1 less mana for the initial secret. Also in Mage it wouldn’t have the “from a different class” keywords.
