In standard, there will be 36 demons (that we know of) 7 of which are 1 mana, 5 are 2 mana, 6 3 mana, 3 4 mana, 2 5 mana, 6 6 mana, 1 7 mana, 2 8 mana, 3 9 mana (though one is Jaraxxus), and 1 10 mana demon. So more than half of these demons are under 4 mana, making them quite strong in the early game. But knowing this expansion will have a lot to do with demons, there will probably be more in standard, 45-50, but even then you have to have bad RNG to not get a one drop, two drop, or a three drop. And later in the game it stil provides value (the other half of the demons are 5+ mana minions).
so it has a pretty even balance between early and late game value.
This card’s only real weakness is the imprisoned demons, as they don’t instantly benefit from the added +2/+2, the stars will be voidwalker, battlefiend, frenzied felwing, and flame imp for the early game (also possibly vilefiend, imprisoned scrap imp, and fellgaurd) and for latter game, wrathspike brute, hulking overfiend, stand out, though they’re all good because of the bonus stats. still 3/5 card though if no support is printed, we also still don’t know what the warlock prime will be, that might be a solid demon too, most of the neutral commons are also bound to be demons. we just need more info on the rest of the set, though I myself will most likely make some kind of “fun deck” with it cause I just love the card.
it’s a 3/5 printed card, but a 5/5 fun card 🙂
Aggro, Zoo, Tempo, and even some Handlocks are rubbing thier hands evily for this.
I know I’ll be having a lot of fun with this myself. Defentially Encourages Demonlock to finally be a thing. (Last time we had Demonlock (If I’m not lost) was Kobolds and Catacombs.) 5 Stars.
I’d run one or 2 simply because sometimes hand sucks and need board value. Then there’s stuff like torture priests giving you tokens in deck. Overall it’s a nice card for turning junk into value.
Actually may see a comeback of demon warlock with this. Sense Demons a classic card draws 2 demons from deck. BUT if there are no demons it gives you 2 1/1 imps. So add a card like this and if you’ve exhausted your deck of demons this makes the 1/1 imps into something useful.
Most decks are constructed in such a fashion that the cards in them are useful, as opposed to being “junk”. Sense Demon sees no play. And neither will Shadow Council.
Can I come back and laugh at you if during the next (6) expansions this will be in rotation this card ends up being great. There are a lot of cards that looked pathetic but we’re later given cards that when put together made them broken as hell to fight.
The only thing you need to make this useful is crappy cards in hand which could be generated by other cards.
On a side note sense Demons has appeared in a few decks throughout it’s history. I’ve seen at least one in cube lock fetching cards for skull. It also appeared with a copy in a drawlock more recently. It may not be a staple but it’s basically an arcane intellect that tutors demons or gives you cheap minions if none left.
Also side note please leave all negative comment about a cards current use till after more cards are revealed seeing all the dissing when no one knows what rest will be.

Kind of how I laugh at all the absurd statements you have made about trash cards.
Just stating can’t did cards if don’t know what will happen with them.
Ancient watcher 2.8 rating but was involved in the evil silence priest.
Anubisath Warbringer 2.0 rating used in deathrattle rogue.
Aransi Broodmother 2.7 rating used heavily in drawlock and Handlock.
Arcane watcher 3.1 rating same reason as ancient watcher.
Azalina Soulthief 2.5 rating but was a key card of the ridiculous togwaggle druid.
Batterhead 2.8 rating not to great but quest priest runs at least one copy because making it 6 attack at 10 Mana clears boards.
Beaming sidekick 3.1 rating used in several aggro zoo or big priest decks.
Bloghtnozzle crawler 2.6 rating but was ran in deathrattle rogue package.
Blood troll sapper 2.7 rating but used in a few swarmlock decks.
That’s just from the first 5 out of 50 from all cards list a good deal of cards with low ratings became staple cards to a few tier 1 and several tier 2 decks.
And here’s the kicker he trashed the meta during his reign King Togwaggle 2.5 rating with 1919 reviews. Was called a meme card and an instant dust then later it became a star player of a tier one deck that was so strong pieces of it had to be nerfed.
Point is a lot of cards don’t look great at first but some end up getting support over time in standard or in wild that makes them valuable.
Sense Demons is a Wild staple. Turns out that tutoring powerful demons is worth it.
There are no *optimal* builds of any Warlock decks that run Sense Demons.
This could be useless or simply broken, i think there is no medium point hehe.
This is definitely an interesting card and would be great to help zoo lock recover if lose momentum.
However there’s a bigger interest to this card than anyone has mentioned it allows you to turn worthless cards like the 1/1 albatross tokens or the 1/1 imps from the warlock removal into valuable minions. That removal that adds 3 worthless imps looks a lot better when you have a card like this that for 1 Mana makes them valuable. The only downside is losing rest of hand but that’s a small price when everything get will be at least a 2/3.
You know there is Rafaam that was supposed to have the same purpose and yet never really worked?
Yeah but rafaam was 7 mana and the cards you were playing weren’t inherently overstated. Not to mention there is a lot more gimmick and combo than intended legendaries then there are demons
Rafaam also changed your entire deck. This only applies to the hand so you don’t risk getting rid of something from deck list you may need later.
The fact that it gives a 2/2 buff to the random demons also helps. Compared to Rafaam flat stat minions with possibility of pulling out gimmick based legendaries.
We can get mixed results, DH cards and ONLY Minions IDK if this could be good or not… 1/5 for the moment.
