It came in clutch for me playing a Priest today. At start of turn 5, I had nothing on the board and opponent still had 1 venomous scorpid (4/1) sitting there waiting to destroy any 3 cost minion I had in my hand. To my surprise, I played Serena Bloodfeather (1/1) and it destroyed the venomous scorpid (4/1) and turned Serena into a (3/2 !!). The Steal aspect is slightly misleading as my attack went up to 3. Needless to say, this card really saved me from 2 rounds of a headache and likely a loss.
4 stars
Universally speaking, every Priest can use this just a cheaper Nataile Seline.
Oh I did it again. 4 Stas.
I think this could be just a good control priest card that can deal with cards that they normally can’t on such little mana
Personally I hope I don’t get it.
It’s cheap and almost a cheap removal, but I mean as a priest you don’t want this in your graveyard. Not much to have in early game where I rather just use a removal, later game too. But maybe some decks can use it, but as a legendary it should be cheaper. I still think it wouldn’t be OP now a days as a 0 mana card. Or with rush, taunt, divine shield, life steal, can’t be targeted or immunity until your next turn. Any of those stats would have made it interesting now it just feels mjeee.
Oooh wait now I know what it is for.
It is made to weaken 4 attack minions so they can be removed.
And to attack minions that can’t be targeted by hero or spell power.
So yeah if you don’t want a high cost aoe, you can use this instead on very specific minions.
Basically this turns a card into 1/1 and becomes whatever stats the card has. For 2 mana that’s pretty insane.. 5/5 I say!
Ah nvm.. It’s a Priest card. Thought it was a neutral which would’ve been insane. As a priest card there’s way less use for it so 3/5
I would guess it is Ancient Void Hound’s effect repeadetly -> It takes 1/1 until it has more Health AND more attack and checks after every trigger. I think this card will see play, even if it doesnt destroy the minion like Natalie Selene. The cheap cost and the fact it can often be a 2 Mana 3/3 with “Set an enemy minion’s health and attack to 1” should be quite appealing.
can the wording gets simplified to, “take half stats from a minion”. geez.
Very interesting. As a Priest player, I’m happy with these cards
Yea! Cool card with cool effects! I like it!
No because it does more in some situations. The effect you’re describing would be just another card.
Only because it will kill a 1 health minion, but if you think it thru, it does kill 1 health minion when you take half stats (mostly because everything is rounded up).
Similar, but I think it’s easier to understand than “Steal until this has more”.
That still isn’t exactly how it works, depending on how the effect executes. If Serena steals 1/1 stats until both her attack AND health are higher, then minions with odd stats (more attack than health or more health than attack) have more than half stats stolen.
e.g. Serena targets a 10/4 minion (Serena ~ targeted minion): 2/2 ~ 9/3, 3/3 ~ 8/2, 4/4 ~ 8/2, 5/5 ~ 7/1, 6/6 ~ 6/0
If this is how the effect works, Serena can kill minions with attack at least twice their health, or leave a minion with 0 attack if their health is at least twice their attack.
I don’t think it would kill any minion with health larger than 1. it just left that minion with 1 health and stop stealing any more health.
and about stealing more than half stats, it’s what I said, it get rounded up when it’s odd.
Not too big of a concern, since I’m really sure it won’t see many play because there’s a load of better card for priest just to remove said minion rather than weakening it.
I mistook the part where it left the minion with 1 health, no, it will leave them with at least 1 health, and not killed it. if it’s health 4, then 2 remaining, and so on.
nvm. we’ll see for ourselves.
I understand it as. first Serena checks it’s attack against the enemy minion simultaneously increasing Serena’s by 1 decreasing the enemy minions by 1 until Serena’s attack is higher then it does the same for health.
It can only kill something if it has 1 health.
I suspect from the wording that Serena steals both stats fully, so it wouldn’t stop until the condition of her stats being more is fulfilled. e.g. 10/1 she would become a 6/2.
Is there an expkanation how this works?
I mean… more what? More health oder more attack? Or more of both?
Thanks!
More of both, yes. Say the minion is a 4/8, then it will become a 2/4 and Serena will become a 3/5
And on a 4/2: it becomes a 2/0 (so die) and serena will become a 3/3 ??
So, does she kill any minion with more attack than health ?
I think so. But only if BOTH of the values have to be more.
If only one value has to grow over the target minion’s health, it would end up as a 3/1 and a 2/2 serena.
Actually this is the card that confuses me the most in the past few years, even it is fairly easy 😀
I think it manages attack and health separately so on a 4/2 -> 2/1 and Serena 3/2 ?
But she kills minions with 1hp ? Awesome 😀
So basically it says “Reduce Target Minion’s Health and Attack to its half and gain the other half”. Or am I wrong?
You’re absolutely right, and if the minion’s stats are uneven it’ll take another 1/1 from it too! Say there was a 5/9, it would have to go down to 2/4 and make serena a 4/6 to have more than it
