I’m feeling a dead mans hand arcane giant cycle warrior. this hero power+0 cost giants+battle rage could mean filling the board with 8/8’s every turn.
And so it is: Tempo Warrior. Grommash and all of the “Enrage/Survive damage/Whenever it takes damage” minions will enjoy this expansion. Honestly, I’m a great fan of this archetype so I gladly welcome all these warrior cards. Can’t wait to play this new tempo warrior!!
This is… a pretty sick Death Knight. Probably the only in my eyes that rivals the Pally one.

It’s going to… more or less flamestrike the board when it hits. And then it has two more “Flamestrikes” in its back pocket. Hero power Whirlwind is also very relevant, especially of those types of warrior cards get popular. Really, just the weapon on its own is disgusting, and might be oppressive enough to win the game on its own, keeping the opponent’s board suppressed for three turns while you set up your own victory. In that light, this might actually be the best Death Knight of all. And if you start upgrading the weapon…? Whoo. Anti-weapon cards just got a hell of a lot more important.
Also noteworthy is that the armor attached to this card is slightly better for Warriors than other classes because of Shield Slam. I don’t know if it’ll be enough to make Shield Slam worth it again, but I’d like to see that card make a comeback.
I think this is the weakest hero card of all. 😛 Losing the ability to armor up in the late game will get you killed. This possible archtype is like auto-lose to any sort of mage.
But i guess we will see…
If you’re that late in the game and don’t have enough armor to survive mage’s combo already, pressing the button a few more times probably isn’t going to help, if you ever even have the time/mana to press the button that many more times.
This is far from the worst DK. The boar clearing potential of this weapon is just absolutely insane. The whirlwind is arguably a weak hero power, but with all the synergy Warrior has with those kinds of effects, I think it’ll pan out just fine. And if you’re really worried about Armor, Warrior has plenty of cards to help on that front.
will not be play, i’m not feeling the slow meta, what a surprise
Thanks for the in-depth analogy
Why isnt it called “Bonestorm”? They didn’t use Bonestorm in the other cards as far as I’ve seen and its definitely a meme line. Also BLADESTORM is a definite ultimate ability and should be saved for a spell name in the future.
I can’t imagine how a control deck would want this hero power rather than deal 8 fucking damage at random every turn. I mean, you’re gonna play taunts anyway
You can just play the hero card, use the weapon charges then equip sulfuras.
solid, but u lose armor gain
Very good control card, and amazing hero power. Synergies with whutface and free grom activator. Keep in mind though that you do lose the consistent armor gain that default Warrior has, which could hurt in a control matchup
Just dead mans hand a bunch ogmf armorsmiths and ur good.
Death knight Paladin, then this. Every top deck will be running 2 oozes now.
Why not 4 oozes in case of the lich king weapon or medivh as well?
I think trying and doing that hurts the consistency of too many decks. It’s one thing to play Golokka Crawler because it fights Warrior and Druid, and if I’m not mistaken Shaman. Swamp ooze is fine on two, but is generally weaker than you’d like and is a pretty aweful topdeck
Nice for control warrior decks.
