Tidal Wave already married Rune Dagger if you ask me.
I think this is the one card that can actually make Spell Damage useful! Because unlike all the minions and stuff, you can store this and have it on demand without extra cost. Lab Partner costs one and is dead next turn, this is 0 Mana (on the turn the spell is played) and can give the Spell Damage 3 times. The only way your opponent can stop it is Ooze (and other Weapon removal which is never played), and the prominence of this greatly defines the value of this card, the Spell Damage package and perhaps even Archetypes like Control Shaman!
While Spell Damage in Mage is a failure in my prediction, Shaman might actually make use out of it! And this card is the key to success! 5 Stars!
And now I’ll go and re-review Ras Frostwhisper, who I gave only 2 Stars back then ๐
Interesting… Shaman has definitely received many interesting tools. Control shaman incoming?
Looks like it has usefulness with a few of the other cards and also means for 3 turns you can make Ras like the warlocks old dreadlord.
Maybe? Enables Spellbook Binder, Arcane Watcher, Sorcerous Substitute, Ras obviously, on top of all the Spell cards from the last set. IDK, the package just sounds too fair. Sorry Thrall, you might have to sit this one out again ๐
