Rocket Boots Card Review

When playing WoW, I ALWAYS picked Engineering because I loved how fun it was, and Rocket Boots were one of my favorite items (and well, later enchantment). Super fun to play in PvP, could do some crazy stuff with them.

As for the card. Giving minion Rush is theoretically worth 1 mana (Charge, which should just be renamed to Rush probably), but the card doesn’t see play. However, adding a cycle might make it actually worth it. It’s like Paladins never played Hand of Protection, but Potion of Heroism is played in slower builds just because of the cycle.

However, the thing is that Warrior doesn’t really struggle when it comes to cycling. It’s the best class to put Acolyte of Pain into and it has a lot of extra ways to draw cards, including Battle Rage.

That said, it would make sense in some kind of Combo Warrior deck, which wants to cycle as quickly as possible. 2 mana cycle with a minor effect would fit right into that kind of build. For example, you could play it with Wild Pyromancer for what is basically a Swipe, or with Acolyte of Pain I’ve mentioned already to cycle 2 cards and activate Execute on some bigger minion. But I don’t think that any deck right now would really want to play this card, it’s average.

Card rating: 5/10

I could see playing this in recruit warrior, after swinging Woecleaver or playing Recruit on 8+ mana.

1 mana and this would still see no play. Maybe for the drawing part.
Like Charge, wouldn’t be playable even at 0 mana cost.

Remember Potion of Heroism? This is similar in way that is helpa you gain or maintain board control + it cycles itself which is always great. The difference of course is that with this you get to attack immediately for the cost of the minion receiving damage. Damaging your minions however is a thing warriors exclusively can use to their advantage.
I see a lot of potential in this card, I love it.

I still can’t get over that ‘Charge’ is probably the most ridiculous card in all of Hearthstone. It is called charge and it gives a minion Rush but the text still reads ‘charge but can’t attack heroes this turn’. Seriously blizzard….

They don’t say “Rush” so it doesn’t interact with Rush mechanics, like the weapon that give +2/+1 to a rush minion. But yeah, Charge is ridiculous now, see 0 play.

Why is this 2 mana??? Rush isn’t strong enough for this cost and you gotta use this card after summoning a minion (most of the time) … Power word: shield is 1 mana and this should too.

The “Charge” spell except +1 mana to draw a card. It has a tiny bit of potential in a recruit warrior maybe? 3/5, not bad but not excellent.
