Libram Paladin might see this. But other than that, we other need Meganatized Cards back, or we need to see some sort of Handbuff deck. 3 Stars.
this is a Embiggen mech druid card
This looks very powerful for mech decks in wild with the rotating magnetics. In standard though this will only really see play from decks that can buff minions, Druid, Priest, and pally being the main ones. This card requires planning positions but if you can’t buff it your mostly looking at 2 3/3s on turn 4 still not to bad value wise but not game breaking without buffs. I am pretty sure this may make an appearance in decks that can summon token minions as well though.
Nah, I’m not sure this is the right fit for token decks. Even if you transformed a 1/1 into this, the card would still feel pretty weak. You would have spent your turn 4 essentially adding 5/5 worth of stats onto your board – not too bad, but there are much more powerful things you could’ve done – Blessing of Ancients, Power of the Wild, etc.
But yeah, in Wild… Imagine drawing a bunch of little magnetic minions with Crystology, hand-buffing all of them with Glowstone Technician, discounting them with a couple Galvanizers, and then unloading all the magnetic buffs onto this card. Then you can summon a Silver Hand Recruit with your hero power and transform the recruit into another copy of the mechanical monster you just built.
That doesn’t sound meta-breaking, given that you can’t give your mechs charge, but that’s just some food for thought.
The question really though is what happens if multiple on board and they have different attack or health what has priority.
Effects from the same minion happen in order from left to right, though it differs with other minions.
I sense there will be some very toxic build with this card in about a year… Seems like the kind of card that seems totally innocuous at first but becomes broken over time.
this also synergises with cards such as libram of wisdom, but this is really just: give buffs to this minion, and it transforms other, weaker, minions into copies of it, thereby making your board a lot stronger. It could also maybe be in shaman with evolve effects… it’s also another card that requires players to think about board positioning…
This could be interesting in wild with the magnetic keyword
Magnetic is going to be a wild keyword FeelsWeirdMan
Does neighbor also include enemy minions in front of this? that would be interesting…
I would say so unless they are changing adjacent minions into neighbor to make it less wordy
It does not. It’s just another wording for “adjacent minion” or “minion next to it”. It was already used on some cards, e.g. Supercollider.
Although I think that the card would be more interesting if it also affected opponent’s board 🙂
Ever heard of a card named treachery? 🙂
Okay in paladin and shaman decks I guess. Makes your hero power into a 3/3 mech for a turn or two…
Why would you want to run this?
if you buff it its really good because it will create a copy of itself. For instance, you could play this next to a 1 mana minion on turn 4, and if they cant kill both then next turn you could play zilliax on this and get 2 zilliaxes
Ziliax is rotating.
The implication was that you fill the board with buffed copies of the minion. People can and do play wild and are just as excited by the reveals. Zilliax was just an example, a better one for standatd could have been blessing of kings.
Question is what happens when have 2 next to each other when one is weaker.
Well I figure it would run off of the standard order of operation for end of turn effects which is either oldest first or left to right, which will make positioning key. I believe the older one will make a copy of itself first regardless of which is weaker. I would have to play a game with 2 end of turn minions to be certain of mechanics. Strength will not be key its going to be positioning.
That was just the easiest example to think of-in the new set. libram of wisdom looks good on this (even though that deck may end up being pure paladin). Also, for some reason it wasn’t letting me reply to your other question, but I think that cards to the left trigger their end of turn first (it may also be whichever was played first), and I assume the one that goes first will end up being the one copied. Not sure though
