Forlorn Stalker is guaranteed to hit this.ó, just putting this out there.
like a buffed version of haunted creeper
Make hunter great again!
Hell no, hunter is already near the top of the meta, just behind shaman, why do they need more hard to remove, “deal with this” threats? This is just more of the same, haunted creeper, infested wolf, savannah highmane crap, it has to die, and then it summons a bunch of tokens to then be removed AGAIN, since WOTG I heard of the promised land, the control meta, this doesn’t help anything
You must be high. Hunter is near the bottom in winrate this month
I think this would be best utilized in a faster Hunter deck is what they were going for. Even if you buff the rat with an abusive sarge or dwarf seems offset the cost a bit and gives more options outside the hand buffing minions of the gang. I’m definitely going to be playing more hunter this season than Shaman. 😉
Going to switch from shaman to hunter?? Haha watch the sheep move from mindless op deck to mindless op deck. Great job hearthstone! continue appealing to the brainless masses that want easy wins and never want to earn one through actual skill.
Stay salty scrub.
He is a pirate.
Seriously though, *implying recognizing good cards that synergize together and work well in the meta isn’t a skill.*
Ok,I’ve thought that the Priests will be this meta’s thunder, but Blizzard changed my mind with new hunter cards. And hunters will not only destroy anuses in constructed but will also crush faces in arena.
Also I’d like to say that Gadgetzan cards look too good, uhm,I mean that there are too manyy good cards.Remember previous expansions, where a good 60% of the cards were crap like Cursed blade, inversed Magma Rager or…heheh,Purify?Where are cards like this in Gadgetzan?
“Crush faces”, must be greek 😛
yay hunter will be most annoying class in the new meta. More mid hunters that have to much board presence and are more annoying than before. Great job Blizzard, lets buff the one class that doesn’t need it.
If I’m not mistaken, only 8% of people were playing hunter in the last month, meaning it was the least played class of november. Hunter as a class isn’t even doing that well- like 6th in overall win rate? Yet people butch about it because of its past self that no longer exists anymore. Sure, there’s secret hunter, which is a somewhat fast deck (unless you’re still playng Yogg n Load), but it takes a lot of forethought and planning ahead. Just because a deck is more aggressive doesn’t mean it takes less skill.
There’s a reason that people can’t just reach legend by spilling out their hand and hitting face. Hunter is awkward and one of the tamer classes right now. They need some good stuff, and this expansion is giving them great midrange beast cards.
Hunter will actually be slower than before since midrange is slower than the secret decks, which are more aggressive. I am excited by this.
The reason Blizzard is going in this direction is partially because they want cards like Tundra Rhino and Scavenging Hyena to be better, and they have. It’s a fun mechanic, and people need to stop hating on hunter when they get interesting stuff.
Clearly you haven’t seen the new priest or shaman cards
This is just better Infested Wolf
OK, let´s see how it could works (just for fun I guess):
Turn 1: Tracking?
Turn 2: Trogg Beastragger (Hope to buff +1/+1 Rat Pack or Dispatch Kodo)
Turn 3: Shaky Zipgunner (Hope to buff +2/+2 when dies to Rat Pack or Dispatch Kodo )
Turn 4: Dispatch Kodo and control the field with direct damage.
Turn 5: Grimestreet Smuggler (Hope to buff +1/+1 Rat Pack) + Hero Power or trap
Turn 6: a huge Rat Pack + Kill Command/Animal Companion
Turn 7: Rhino and charge rats + Quick shot
Turn 8: Ragnaros
Turn 9: Call of the Wild
Lot of fun.

good:
-without buffs it’s a 2/2 deathrattle: summon 2 1/1s, which is pretty good
-any buff applied summons extra 1/1s when it dies
-this card alone could lure out a boardclear
-likely to take enemy more than 1 card to kill this minion
-has the beast tag
bad:
-if you buff it to much it’d just get more 1/1s and could take you more cards to buff than it’d take the enemy to clear
-1/1s are very easy to clear
-not so good against classes with small ‘deal X damage to all (enemy) minions’ like warrior
-you don’t really get a chance to buff it in your hand bevore turn 3
-has to compete with other pretty good 3 mana cards in the hunter class
-a 2/2 body on turn 3 is pretty weak
overall when used correctly it could be a good card, I think it will see play if any of the hunter or grimy goons handbuff cards will also see play, if not, it might replace infested wolf, otherwise I don’t think it is strong enough
“-you don’t really get a chance to buff it in your hand bevore turn 3” that is not necessary. Abusive seargent, dire wolf or if it was coined out a Leokk, and even if you dont buff it is still a decent value.
“-a 2/2 body on turn 3 is pretty weak” Not weak enough to not get played (kindly grandmother and infested wolf still get played).
“-has to compete with other pretty good 3 mana cards in the hunter class” Animal companion, Shaky Zipgunner. What else ?
….and Unleash the hounds, kill command, eagle horn bow, that inbalanced 3/4 secret dude…basicly its competing with every good hunter card that isn’t siera highmane.
The three mana slot is supposed to be the most cramped slot in midrange hunter, so it’s fine to have a lot of 3 mana cards.
2× Shaky Zipgunner, ×2 Kill Command, ×2 Rat Pack, ×2 Animal Companion (and perhaps ×1 UTH and ×1 Deadly Shot). BAM. Ten 3-mana cards.
Eaglehorn Bow was played even in non-secret decks because it filled on of hunter’s many gaps. A 3 mana 3/2 weapon is no longer needed and is quite frankly garbage without secrets compared to these new cards. As for Cloaked Huntress, she is specifically played in Secret hunter, which is more aggressive. You wouldn’t play her in a midrange deck, which is where this new handbuff mechanic fits best for hunter.
