This is a very bad card.
Had it used against me numerous times, not once did it turn out well. All it does is put some minions on the board, maybe transforms some of them, then wipes the board. One time a player committed suicide with this card. Lots of the spells usually backfire. It doesn’t turn the tide and why you would run this 10 mana board-clear in ranked is beyond me.
Too much rng to be good. Cool when you get it off cyclone or the new hero power, but too much of a meme to use up a deck slot. Will probably see some play since the community loves yogg so much. 2/5
Yes, the only limitation i had with Yoggy, was his tendency to kill himself in the few first spells, now in spell form this is as meme as pre nerf yoggy.
So Blizzard give a Weak Quest, a weak legend, and a weak epic to mage. I really cannot understand the engineers. Nerf the Mage! Yaaay!
Spend all your mana, and the board, and maybe your deck.
Most underrated card of the set, everyone has been calling for nerfs to the Giant + CC combo. If those nerfs do happen I suspect this card will be absolutely stupid. This set alone has multiple big board clears and there’s dozens within the other classes outside of mage, which means statistically speaking this should clear the board at least 90% of the time.
They should refund your mana cyclone dust along with this card, printing it is a direct nerf to cyclone mage
Well Yogg-Saron was played competitively before its nerf as a Hail Mary that could change lost games. This is normally better than post-nerf Yogg Saron (since you often killed the God and then spells stopped being cast), but probably worse than pre-nerf Yogg Saron (you could get more than 10 spells and if you were lucky you could get a 7/5 body behind). I don’t think it will make the cut in a normal deck (let’s hope it doesn’t!) but it’s definitely going to be a pain in the butt when generated randomly from other cards.
Garbage luckster trash – a cesspit of random spontaneous infallible detritus. 1/5
Fun card, better than yogg. Nevertheless it will not see play, because it spends your entire turn on casting random spells which is not that great.
2/5
So is this a direkt waygate opener?
No, unfortunately the spells will count as “the card” playing them, not you (e.g. Yogg doesn’t count either)
Yare yare daze
So anyone else wanna take this to wild and play a meme random deck. 1 Yogg 2 copies of this and 2 copies of deck of wonders. Most rng heavy deck ever.
this is a card to get through random and discover cards, not “put it in the deck” kind of card
Playing kalec => oh look a 0 mana box that can save/kill me
May lady lucks guide you
Yeah – Will play it in Wild Big Mage!
This casting another of it out of the random could possibly loop. But then RNG so who knows.
Very nice card would probably run at least one as a Hail Mary card if your in trouble and can’t do anything (just like Yogg was). This will possibly see play with one copy in a tempo mage. Downside of that deck is if opponent can outlive your tempo it’s almost all over. This gives you 10 chances of possibly at least a blizzard or frost Nova to stall.
And unlike Yogg you can run two copies, and it won’t kill itself after the first spell.
No but it can, presumably, just cast Myra’s unstable element as the first spell instead and mill out the second copy 😐
Indeed it could, Yogg be praised.
No no you’ve got it wrong first it plays unstable element then it plays cataclysm.
Yogg was good enough to see competitive play, this is the same thing. People ran Yogg as a last ditch effort to win the game, and even if he didn’t kill the opponent, he most likely cleared the board and prevented lethal. This card would be run for the same exact reason. 4/5
Would you look at that, I was right.
So – Vargoth on 9…
But slim chance to get this spell casted again…
I wouldn’t be so sure – Vargoth’s text reads: “At the end of your turn, cast a spell **you’ve** cast this turn (targets are random).” – so it depends on who counts as the caster for the 10 random spells; you or Yogg’s puzzle box – if it’s the puzzle box then that’s the only spell *you* cast this turn so Vargoth will replay it.
Vargoth would have to survive the 10 spell onslaught though. Also, if you’ve had a Vargoth die at some point in the match, the puzzle box might rez him. Yogg be praised.
Looks like a meme card, but Yogg-Saron was good enough that it ended up getting nerfed. Maybe this is good enough to make it into a competitive deck, maybe not; it’s gonna take experimentation. 3/5
Meme Card, But I’m sure that Kibler will make out of it.
2 Stars for Competitive Play
6 Stars for Fun and Meme Potential
Best card in the set.
Infinite loop on sight
UNLIMITED POOOWWEEERR!!
OK I KALEC GONNA DISCOVER THIS FOR U DUDES AND YOU WILL WIN BY RNG
2.5/5
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron shouldn’t see competitive play, but it will be a cool card to screw around with.
You really learned nothing from yogg huh?
Yogg came with a body (even if that body was rather fluid), and could cast far more spells than this. Plus, this is class restricted, limiting whatever damage could potentially be done from the get go.
Miracle Rogue won’t be able to play it as a secondary win condition, Token Druid won’t be able to use it as a Hail Mary, and Yogg and Load is not going to be a worthwhile archetype. At most, it’ll be used in something like a Control Mage as a Hail Mary, and that should be fine.
Not sure why you’d put this in your deck, but the same logic would apply to “why put Yogg in your deck” so maybe I’m crazy.
Good desperation card to pull from Kalecgos…
Yogg was good before it was nerfed.
Ironically, this one usually cast more spells than yogg
and no, yogg doesn’t have a 7-5 body
He’s a 0/1 taunt. Duh.
OH YES
