polymorph is better and is not played in tempo mage… useless card
This is another of those mage cards that you will simply hate, even worse than … in many cases. This spell is just a counter to many fun control decks revolving around N’zoth, or Resurrect priest for instance. Sure you can play around it to some degree, but not happy to see this one.
What happens if you play jarraxus into potion of polymorph? Lol
Why is this card rated so high? Does almost nothing against half the decks in the meta.
What? You´re happy with almost anything getting polymorphed. Totem Golem, Thing From Below, Acolyte, Doomsayer, Councilman, even Flame Imp. Thousands of targets. Entity leaves the opponent with the full minion and the chance to deal with your copy. This seems way better.
Also if you play entity + this, you get a copy of the minion and give them a 1/1. And it´s a potion, warlock and priest can get this.
Murloc paladyn? Malygos decks? Even shaman totem golem is not bad… THIS IS AWESOME! Btw. what if enemy’ll play Jaraxxus???
how is this working with Jarraxus ?
It won´t effect him. Battlecry triggers first. Think of mirror entity.
Think of palladyn reduce health to 1 secret tho
REALLY good and so annoying…not because it will hurt so much, but rather because it mindfucks you^^
secret mage with the secretist
What’s the interaction with battlecry cards? I think this prevents them from triggering, but I may be wrong.
It says after the minion is played, meaning the battlecry will trigger and it will get transformed right after.
Battlecries are triggered as normal and then the minion is converted. Think about hunter’s snipe.
I think that too, because of the word “after” instead of “when”
should be the same as snipe… battlecry triggers first
It transforms the minion AFTER it is played. That means battlecry should still trigger
Pretty sure battlecry will still trigger. It says after it is played same as snipe as well.
I absolutely adore this Secret, and man oh man is it good. Against a Control deck, this is incredibly good. It not only “kills” the minion, it Polymorphs it, which is so much better than killing it. For a while I have wanted more cards like this that transform minions to play around all those sticky minions. I would have liked an AoE Polymorph card, but this is still pretty good when timed properly. Best turn 5 play against those Hunters for when they drop turn 6 Highmane!
I do believe kazakus produces a mass polymorph at 10 mana so you are getting your wish. In regards to this secret, I’d say it’s 3/5. If it triggered before the battle cry resolved, it would be super solid but cards like babbling book, grim street enforcer, jeweled scarab etc. really counter this effect. I still see it occasionally blowing people out.
With Kazakus u can creat a 10 mana spell which polymorphs ALL minions , maybe this would be something for u (;
This seems to easy to play around… we already have a secret that punishes our opponents for playing big minions. Seems silly to have a second.
The big difference between Mirror Entity and this is that the opponent can still kill the copy summoned on your board and the opponent’s copy still has it’s deathrattle and everything and also can still attack if it has charge. Mirror Entity is way easier to play around than this. This is more similar to Hunter’s Snipe, but better.
Completely agree. Terrible card. It’s just a mashup of Polymorph and Mirror Entity. Mirror Entity is easy to play around and I’d rather pay one extra mana and pick which minion I polymorph…
Superb.
looks good but people will just play around it like they do mirror entity by playing something small..
of course I NEVER have a small minion in hand when i need to play around this @#$!
Question. Does this count as a Potion? Can it be randomly added to one’s hand via Cabal Chemist?
Most likely.
If you can get it from Kabal and its the only secret than you will know what secret it is when played
I thought the same, but that’s only the case in Priest and Warlock
It seems pretty useful in mid/late turns when the opponent usually plays good minions.
